Pre-Dig Gig, Rehash Bash and other Cooler events

What hunt I thought we were all just on one really big wild goose chase.

Unless I find it, and convince my motor sergeant that I need to be there... I can't go anyway... but IMHO the basement there would give you better parking than the Lodge, I remember parking there being a bit difficult. But then again, maybe it was because I got there late.

I'm not positive, but I think that's Hollywood in the picture with me at the First Annual Re-Hash Bash, not Dad.

Personal preference? I'd rather not give up the pot-luck. I would rather be warm, but I'd don't want to give up the spirit of the pic-a-nic, Boo-Boo in the park.

Not to mention cost of food at Obbs. And their food will never beat ours.

I would prefer pot luck. By this time the hunt has become very expensive.

But it is looking like I won't be able to be there so I'm not sure it matters what I think.

I too think it should be pot luck. This crew has some of the best cooks and great ideas for luck of the pot dinners.

I'm sure some people will order drinks/pop/whatever anyhow, so I cant see why they'd have a problem with that...

I'll personally go wherever is decided upon... but if the weather is going to be like they're saying... and like today is.... I'd rather be inside....

and if anything a trek to the fire pits really isnt that far away.... (p. s. - I think theres like 2 or 3 of them)....

I think there are legal/liability problems if a restaurant lets people bring in their own food. We can use the Mason lodge again. That was our solution last year for avoiding the freezing temperatures and still being able to do a potluck.

Your lodge and pot luck seems to be the majority consensus.

My point is I find humor in that if you choose to be inside, you'd choose Obbs, not Matty B's as that is The Home of The Cooler Crew. Come on! I'm not that bad'a Clue Writer! :sillygrin:

I don't care where we go and after almost two weeks at MattyB's, I'm happy for a change. But, it is closer to my house.

I hope it's Obbs. Never been there.

I'm going to McGovern's mid-afternoon with the family, for our annual "turkey dinner" then take them home, and head out. Hope to know where.

I was impressed with Obbs. I figured it would be a dive and it's really a pretty nice place. Very clean and pretty. Kind'a homey, in a way. Nice place.

diggin and I will be there at 5 but both have to leave early, back to our other secret lives as poker queens :grin:

The waitress during the day at Obbs needs to be cloned. She is the most efficient person I've ever seen working in a restaurant.
