Pre-Dig Gig, Rehash Bash and other Cooler events

Dad and I will be there sometime around 7:00 too, hopefully. But it won't be a late night for us...

One of the families I used to provide day care to some years ago also went to Awana.

I haven't heard that for years.

rehash is at the Mason lodge on front this Sunday. Noon I think.

Ya know, I was thinking.. a lot of people won't be able to make it because it's Super Bowl Sunday and they have stuff going on with other friends and family, is it possible to maybe have it next Sunday instead? It's not an issue for me.. but I was talking to a few other people, and they say they won't be able to make it because of the football game.

I volunteer as a leader for that at my church.

Yeah, when the hunt's over, I'm hungry. We should have the RHB the next afternoon, and the Pity Party that night.

I think it's been on SBS every year; if not, then the majority of the years.

Just the nature of the Re-Hash Bash. Always the last Sunday after the 12th Clue, now.

Originally was the Sunday after the Medallion was found but that got too complicated for many when the Med would be found in the first week after many years of finding in the second week. So now ittiz the Sunday after the 12th Clue or when the 12th Clue would have come out should the Hunt have gone that long. Gives everyone an exact date from the very start of the Hunt.

It was great to see everyone, on the early shift AND the late shift.

Oobs WAS fun! Felt good to laugh until the tears ran down my cheeks.

Felt like old times with Eags around - thanks for the RR! That voo-doo stuff works! When Terry is tired, Terry is a nut case. Thought we were going to have to do CPR and call 911. She couldn't quit laughing and consequently couldn't breathe. Was fun getting the old ENTOURAGE together (tip o'the hat to Eags, for that moniker!) Missed talking to Me2, but wasn't able to make it over that way. But for her, think I did manage to snag everyone else while they tooed and froed. Waving to Me2, "Catch me at the Re-Hash Bash!"

While Mucky's never been ugly, she was looking wonderful and gorgeous last nite. Ssssoooo GOOD to see her!

Really glad OT showed up. She is such good company to be around.

Mom, Dad heartfelt thanks for the limo ride. Ittiz way Cooler to have your own little black limo complete with driver and a mom. Mom, you remind me of the Mom fairy in Shrek II, but w/o the mean streak. You both are so good to me.

I will be off to my Zen place today. Need to go home, ground and be a big duck in a mud puddle. Commune and do my own hoo-doo. However I will NOT be using a chicken complete with head/feet and rice coming outta it's pooper and Gingy-like paper peeps fluttering in the wind on sticks and feathers attached to those sticks. SHEESH! By gods! I SHOULD go to India and do an LBJ-sized BBQ and invite the frickin' neighborhood!

Rumor has it... There may be a six-noodle dish at the Re-Hash Bash in honor o'your's truly acing 6 noodles!

I don't know if I'll be there or not...I havemn't decided yet so the date really doesn't matter to me but is there a reason it isn't on Saturday, since most have a hard time getting around the SBS thing? Like I said it doens't really matter to me just wondering if there was a reason.

It's never been on Sat. This is the 10th Anniversary - things got started at Chair-O-Key.

Ittiz tradition. Gosh I hate tossing that word out there for all the, "So? Lettuce-change-tradition," folks, but that's the way ittiz.

I doubt it will every change, though. Since the Re-Hash Bash is truly where this all got started. You can mess with going indoors to have The Re-Hash Bash, but you can't mess with the holiest of Holidays for The 'Crew.

I had a good time at the pity party also. Finally met Eags and even got my first CC button. :smile: The BLT I took home to eat was wonderful! Lots and lots of bacon. Yummy, bacon.

It might take an act of congress. That worked for Memorial Day, Washington's Birthday and Veteran's Day. :pbpt:

The Super Bowl Kickoff is approx. 6:30 P.M. On Sunday.

If you're going to a Super Bowl Party that starts at noon, 6.5 hours before the game, then rescheduling the RHB just won't help you.

How about: Because traditionally after the hunt, people leave all sorts of stuff at home undone, bills, shopping, cleaning, wiping butt, etc. and Saturday is a better errand day because a) things are open all day and b) no potential church conflicts to run errands?

I *think* the Super Bowl used to be the last Sunday in January and there was no conflict when we started having the RHB on the first Sunday in February. I could be wrong, but I recall many Super Bowl parties on or around my aunt's birthday (January 26) over the years, but not lately.

The RHB is the tradition. But is it a moveable feast?. Maybe it could be the first Sunday after the first full moon in February?

I'm not trying to be facetious. I understand both viewpoints and I think there probably is a way to make this work better for all.

Let's noodle it and see what we can come up with. I am open-minded about being accomodating. I actually don't usually watch the Super Bowl, so its no big deal to me, either way. My fear is that no matter what we pick, it will be sure to be someone else's standing date with something.

Can we show the finders our true Cooler Crew class and invite them to the RHB?

I feel badly that the news reported that people are upset that "Cheeseheads" found it!

Now, if I could figure out a way to make Wisconsin narrower, I would, so that it wouldn't take me so damn long to get from my own personal Holy Land to the cities. But that's another matter! LOL.

I am always glad when the finder has been out hunting for it, and doesn't just swoop in the last 10 minutes.

With 2000 people in the park that night (someone's estimate) I'm really proud of how everyone behaved and it was so awesome to hear the cooperation and care reflected on the conference call.

Its an honor to be part of the Cooler Crew and I think each and every one of you.

I know Greenie posted a nice thing on the pp boards, not sure if the finders post there or not, as to any official invite, I personally don't know.. but I hope they do show up :smile: It's always fun to have them there!
