You are most certainly very welcome, Mr. Mikey! Glad to help out.

Mr. Med Hunter

Yes, we told them about the rehash. They sounded interested and maybe a little gun shy. I have their contact info and will call them and give them the details. Hopefully, they'll be there on sunday.

Did somebody say Deviled Eggs!!!! Yipppeeeeeeeeeee!!! There is only one thing that can be better than sneaking into a heavily guarded room at the Victory dance filled with White Castles and that is deviled eggs!!!

are you going to do the door prises too? KT always took care of that

I would occasionally donate some items - but she did the "fun stuff".

Not sure if I'll show up this year but it's probably doubtfully

Yes, I've picked up some door prizes, but am willing to take donations.

I've donated prizes the last 2 years. It my way of giving back.

ummm

got a few issues...

I just talk to chris digger on the phone...

he thought the RHB would be at obb's...

I'll drop this bomb then run away:

Why aren't we having the RHB in IMP? It's a gorgeous view, there's a playground for kiddies, and there's shelters? Isn't THAT tradition?

Bear, the tradtion of the out-side-thighy went away last year when we went Allison's Lodge. Old farts and all.

Given that, I doubt the day ittzelf will change. Like I said, some TRADITIONS you can eff with, some you can't.

Chris Digger is, in my opinion, too much into the "home of," etc. Up until last year the Re-Hash Bash had always been held in the park the Med was found in.

Last year, well... We gave into a) the oldies/whimps, b) sense and The Re-Hash Bash was held inside.

I'm surprised. Chris has been around long enuff to know the story. I wonder where he got that idea?

Let's get together for a big potluck picnic at Mounds this spring or summer.

For now, an indoor picnic in the Lodge sounds just perfect.

Good idea, Terry.

Thank you.

I'd love to spend a day and evening at that park - when it's warm, green, and it's no time for cold feet.

KOP - I understand. I personally prefer eating food that is supposed to be hot - at least warm. Last time we were outdoors, everything got cold the minute it hit the plate - and salads were freezing. Icky!

We started out in parks as a more public venue. We are now happy to have others to our homes. No more need for public venues in we know and are comfortable with each other.

You inviting all of us to your house? Cooler!!!!

You might just want to try an indoor rehash. I didn't hear anyone complaining last year - in fact just the opposite. It was nice to not be out in the cold after all the cold and shoveling done out in the parks.

Don't knock it till you try it.

Come on, I know you're tired, but don't be so snippy. I know you can find a way to say the same without coming across as accousitory (sp)?) and tossing out a challenge.

"It really is nice, KOP, indoors. You weren't there last year. I think when you try it this year, you'll see. It really is comfy and so much more open to talking to folks since no one is freezingand trying to run home to get warm."

It used to be that Superbowl Sunday would always happen during the hunt and so it was never an issue until the last couple of years. When the NFL decided to add a bye week and have two weeks between the last playoff game and the Superbowl was when it started to conflict. It's probably too late now, but there's no real reason why it couldn't be on a Saturday afternoon instead. I suppose it could even lead to an evening at the Vulcan Victory Dance.

Last year the day of the Rehash was looking to be quite cold. I suggested, and talked people into having it indoors instead. My biggest regret every year at the Rehash is that so many people came and went so quickly, due to not being able to stand the cold for too long, that the Rehash was never quite what it should have been, a chance to rehash the hunt and get to know people better whose posts you had seen or met only briefly in the park. The goal was that by providing a warm environment, people could stick around as long as they liked instead of as long as they could stand it. It also makes the potluck easier when you don't have to worry about your food freezing.

yeah, Saturday - RHB, torchlite parade, vv dance - that would be fun!

but I do think its too late to change it for this year, since the word is out.
