I wonder if that is Queen Malley. She was on the PP boards this year and said she was having trouble getting in here. I wonder if her membership expired.

I have no idea what her real name is though.

I have egrammed back to Tim and ask if he could check on whether her membership expired or to check if there is a glitch somewhere. Anyone with paid up membership should be able to get into our folder.

Awesome! I gotta go through that folder again. Was that the first year that the PP had the Cooler? I was on-line years before anyone else I knew because of my status within St. Paul Companies. As soon as they had access to the net, I did too. Nice find! Same with Santa Dave's PDG idea.

This from Tim: I think what happened is she paid via pay pal and when she could not get in immediately sent mark an email requesting a refund. she should have access.

CM - I was online prior to that 1998 hunt, but the boards previous to that one went the way of the PP as we knew it. 1998 was the year that folks got together after the hunt. I want to say it was a couple of years at least.

everything i've got archived from there was in the webcrossing format. the 99 thread was copied and pasted into a word doc, which is gonna make it real interesting to extract post data out of, but it can be done. 98, 2000, and 2001-2002 are all raw html, with the vestiges of webcrossing very much present in them. maybe you're thinking about before 98.

not likely. we don't have access to the exported binary files from them, and that's basically what's required to do the import.

So I was trying to move OT's post before yours in the AW thread ares but couldn't. See if you can move it to be #1. I think a moved post can only be #2 because it has to fall after a post. I tried moving it to the thread itself but it put it at the end instead of the beginning.

moved them out of the thread and back in.

one thing this masters degree program is teaching me is how to think outside the box.

all our topics are moderated...

To have their own special place just like we all do. They can create a Hannah Montana thread if they want or Disney or whatever since it's their folder. And because it's their folder, we are the visitors rather then them being the visitors in our threads.

They can subscribe to the kids folder alone since they might not even care about anything else.

i'm with you on this, cm.

Jana needs to pony up. I'll mention it in that thread. It is weird. I don't want to send anything her way because of the possible mixup. Summer will probably be better for the girls anyway since they'll have a better chance on catching each other on-line. They're both having a hard time understanding that it's not an IM and they get frustrated when there isn't an immediate response.
