DeSean Jackson declared for the NFL draft today.

The Vikings should seriously look at him. He is projected mid-late 1st round where we will be. He's a freak return man, which has been shown to be a huge asset field position wise. Plus he has breakaway speed and good hands.

If Williamson is on the team after training camp, my interest in the team will be very subdued.

I was afraid that field goal kicker was going to become the Gary Anderson of the Giants at the end of that game. Sure glad he was able to redeem himself.

Someone needs to tell Favre it's hard to throw a football when you have both hands firmly wrapped around your own throat.

No, I picked the Gs over the Ps. In fact half of us picked the Gs to win. That was a great ending.

Yes, that was a nice consolation knowing we kicked the ass of the SB champs.

I watched the last 45 min with my sister on the phone - we watched it together - I had a 5 second delay ahead of her so I'd holler at a great catch and she'd freak - hahaha it was great!

I didnt think the whole game was that great and the 1/2 time was just ok but the last quarter was fun fun fun all thanks to Icesis.

the last catch of the game was missed by none other than Moss! heh

This thread is exactly why I don't root for the Vikings. They're so danged vindictive! Vikings fans will always spin how their 8-8 team is somehow better than the one that wins the super bowl, and how it's great that a former viking failed.

Isn't it tiring, all of the constant justification and obfuscation of blame? Isn't it just easier to say that the Vikings are average?

KITCH

heh

every year I justify how my team is world champions...as long as they win one game...

I don't care if it looks like

vikings beat the cards

cards beat the bears

bears beat the lions

and the lions beat the packers

and the packers beat the bucs

and the pats beat the pac

but the pats lost to the giants

oh thats right the vikes beat the giants so all that didn't matter.

etc...

I kind of wanted the Pat's to win so Moss could get his Super Bowl ring and perhaps finish his career as a Viking. He's said he'd like to do that, and you might not like him as a person, but he sure can play the game.

I'm preparing myself now for the bombs that will come my way.

I'm happy for moss and I hope he turned his life around...I would have been just fine with him winning....I even own a pats hat somewhere..

I'm like most fans that think that the top athletes could make more money if good role models and is upseting to see kids lookup to these pros more than their own parents...

I like Moss. Even more when he's a cocky ass. I even tought they had a chance with him on that last Hail Mary. I am glad he got to go to the big game. I'm also glad that the Giants won.

I would never say that the Vikings are a great football team. Especially now. Back in'98 yes, but any years since, no. It just takes some sting away when you're let down every year to know that we slaughtered the SB champs. It doesn't make our team any better. But it is a moral victory. Especially since I have a few diehard Giants fans as friends.

Plus, as far as I see it, only the real fans have a right to bitch anyway. Bandwagon fans can't complain about anything when they're losing.

My role model is Tom Brady. Who else could do it like he's done it? Get your hot girl pregnant, break up, then date an even hotter model while another chick has your baby. What a fine plan. You go Tom Brady, you go. :pbpt:

I wholeheartedly agree with you

I woulda liked to have seen him get his ring as well

Minnesotans are known to be pretty conservative so it was only true that Mosses and Venturas shenanigans wouldn't be well accepted or liked.... personally, I liked the little drama that they brung to the news. The "now what did he do?" - almost like having jake around.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is the 2007 Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, Diet Pepsi and the National Football League announced today.

During the 2007 season, Peterson shattered all Vikings rookie rushing records and set an NFL record for rushing yards in a game with 296 against San Diego on Nov. 4. Peterson led the NFC and was second in the NFL in rushing with 1,341 yards, a total that ranks as the second-most yards in a season in Vikings history. Peterson helped the Vikings set a new team record for rushing yards in a season with 2,634, and, along with RB Chester Taylor (844 yards), set a new team record for rushing yards by a tandem with 2,185. A threat as a receiver and a kick returner, Peterson amassed 2,021 combined net yards to rank second in Vikings history behind Herschel Walker's 2,051 in 1990. In Week 9 at San Diego, Peterson set the single game rushing record (296 yards) and scored three touchdowns, repeating his three touchdown effort at Chicago during Week 6 when he ran for 224 yards. Peterson, who attended University of Oklahoma, was nominated for seven Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week awards, winning three times.

Nearly 440,000 fan votes were submitted for the 2007 Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service from January 3 through January 28, shattering last year's total of 363,500.
