Also, for the best chance at becoming a state delegate, join a candidate's subcaucus as opposed to an uncommitted one. Most people join a candidate's subcaucus to support the candidate rather that just to be a delegate. Also, don't nominate a subcaucus. This is one of those weird counterintuitive things, but the person who nominates a subcaucus rarely ends up becoming a delegate.

Nah, I'm just trying to be clear about this caucus thing, which I didn't understand two weeks ago and I've now grown to abhor.

I gotta agree with you on this. I learned a lot about it the last few weeks, thats for sure. Thanks BFG!

I think we'd all be better served by a primary.

Amen to that.

I could swear Minnesota does have a primary in September. I vote at it every year.... Or at least the years I know or hear about it. I know hardly anyone goes to those to vote though. At least I've never experienced having to wait in line.

It just must not be a presidential primary I guess.

There's a primary in September for state offices and congress, but the presidential candidates will be chosen at the national conventions this summer.

As they sit today... As far as trying to win, I believe it is a wasted vote. But the little wasted votes adding up today will give credence to the little wasted votes tomorrow and soon they will open others eyes up and show that they are a plausible win. Which would give way for a more dominant third party in the future. Maybe even switch places with todays dominant party. It could happen... it has happened in the past.

All I know is that I am voting for the next Whig candidate. They were one of the first major parties, the second of the two majority parties from 1834-1856, and they have a cool name even Dolly Parton can relate to.

the twist I expect ... Obama wins? Hilary will be his running mate. Hilary wins? she will have Obama run with her.

which candidate do we want on top?

That is a problem as well... Carter was hands down the most intelligent president we had ever had. What did he accomplish? We saw lots of jelly bean clips on the news.

It was Jimmy Carter and peanut pins. I had one. I wonder if I will ever run into that again tucked away in some drawer.

That's right, it was his bro that was the beer guy.

I still have a full can of Billy Beer as I'm sure other Baby Boomers do as well.

So Obama wins handily in WA, NE, LA, and the Virgin Islands. According to CBS News, Clinton's overall delegate lead is cut to 2, 1122-1120. Regardless of what happens in Maine today, Maryland and Virginia should put him ahead on Tuesday.

Wally the beverage whore is probably more appropriate. He'll sell anything you can drink. Anytime. Anywhere.

He's a cool dude. Met him at a Saints game - had to practically tie him down to make him rest for a minute.

He's got the "I'll sleep when I'm dead" kinda attitude - it's kind of stunning to think about how much energy he has - but you've gotta remember - he works out on a 'stairmaster' for a LIVING.

I saw him when I was going up the escalator. I called out to him and he gave me a big wave and the couple who had adopted me in the line asked if that was a friend of mine. They didn't know him. I tried to explain who he was and that he'd been around since the old Metropolitan Stadium was built and that he even had his own trading card. Makes me think that perhaps folks who attend political rallies aren't the same folks who attend sporting events.

She lost? I must have missed something. I didn't think there was a new president yet.

She doesn't owe him shit and neither does he.

Why put the name of your competition in the news anymore than it already is. Why didn't he call to console her for not getting a couple of states? Insensitive bastard!

It's all media spin. Slow news day I guess.

I wonder what Britney is up to today?
