a little after midnight this morning a very good friend of mine lost control of her car on a winding wet road and was killed. she was 34 and leaves behind 3 amazing kids.
my club and all of our brother/sister clubs have rallied. Ive never seen such an amazing effort to contact one another and coordinate. our group thats in costa rica knows and word has gotten all the way to our friends in germany.
the local girls we got together tonite for dinner. sharing photos of our pretty Corrina and forming an action plan to help the family. mapping out who will deliver meals & when. who will help with coordination of arrangement needs (its in the hands of her brother) etc.etc.etc.
Im so proud of my girls. i couldnt ask to be in a better group of friends should something happen. i feel so fortunate to have each & every one of them.
yeah, agreed. lots of messy stuff with this, dad not really in the picture, the kids spent a lot of time with a guy she dated for 5 years. She was seeing someone new (it was his lexus she hit the tree in driving way to fast..)
It's just so crazy to think, this girl who I talked to on Tuesday (she's my insurance broker - ironic) was here today gone tomorrow.
I hate Jim Carry movies but I do Have to say it was good!! would not have put time in to it if ME2 wouldn't have told me well I was on jury duty that I had to see it!! thank you!! Good Movie!!
I just watched Shoot Em Up. It was pretty good for just an outrageous action movie. Some disgusting scenes, and obviously all the action scenes were unbelievable, but once you bought into that and just enjoyed it for what it was, it was pretty cool.
enjoy: scoring a burberry swimsuit (normally $210-$275) for $18 at a sample sale.
not so much enjoy: knowing I'm going to have to work out for the next 4 months straight to make it look good. It "fits" currently - but my body could stand to drop either 15 more pounds or magically firm up in some key areas...
just cause you think the size fits - doesn't mean it will actually look 'good'... but now it's my incentive for this spring - I'm calling it "the burberry diet"
yeah, I thought so too.. until last night when I put it on!
I should post a photo of it - it's a bandeau top that is one piece in the front - cut like an hourglass - then around the back it's totally open until the little low rise brief bottom.
Lesson learned that a sample size 2, is really more like a size 0.
Last night I was in my garage going through boxes of old clothes to get rid of - came across my wedding dress. It's TOO BIG! which is pretty awesome considering in my minds eye - I recall being rather thin then, so that makes me really happy. below is the dress in it's original form... (that will be 10 years ago this september)
got firefox installed, both emails running through outlook express, clean hard drive, norton updated constantly, firewall on, most programs re-installed and working. yee-ha
The new width is less than an inch narrower. The biggest change is the section headings format. They're color-coded, much like the Star Trib.
I don't like what they've done with the crossword puzzle. It's no longer completely above the fold, so I can't fold the paper in half and have all of the puzzle and clues in that quarter of the page. It makes it awkward to do the puzzle with the paper opened up.
As a whole, I agree. Except for the puzzle. They've blown it up so it no longer fits in a quarter page. Ordinarily people do the puzzle on their lap or on a bus or whatever,
I'm sure I'll soon get used to flipping the paper over to read the clues. I hated when they went from an insert type TV section to a full size section too, but I've gotten over it.
They won't change it if you don't mention it. I'm sure they're waiting to hear of things that were overlooked and would be happy to make the change. You're obviously not alone in this.
Time to finally head on home
can/did you see the eclipse tonight?
please please say you went up top and got some sweet photos of it.

THEY BETTER MAKE SURE THE CLUES HAVE A GOOD SPOT THAT CAN BE READ EASILY
but I did get it put on wheat bread...so its all good.
