Good gravy train Mc Donalds has done a lot of garbage ads over the years. I still remember "Herb" from Burger King and "Where's The Beef?" ads a helluva lot better than most MickeyD's ads.

Another power outtage at work. What gives, is there a power line near the building that's held together with electrical tape from the dollar store?

Note to self: Call building maintennance about the emergency floods in the stairwells, half of them are dead. Just about did myself in stumbling down some stairs in the dark.

Finished filing taxes today. Decided I can wait for the refund - The dual $17.95 charge for E-file at Federal and State is something I can deal with - (even though it defies logic) but they had some other nondescript $30 charge tacked on for "Electronic Filing Fee" - That's over $65 to file - not to mention the $40+ for the software I had to buy up front.

I never got hit up for that kinda cash before - what the heck? Is it because I used H&R Block's TaxCut for three years and switched to Turbo Tax for 2007? Because I'm on a Mac they assume I have money?

About $4 worth of postage and 17 pages are on its way in a shiny white envelope. Slower refunds I can deal with - $100 worth of mystery charges for $30 software I can't.

I use Turbo Tax and didn't have to pay a $30 filing fee. I did have to pay the $17.50 x 2 though. Did you get the free $30 cordless mouse and $5 Best buy gift certificate too?

I used Turbo Tax for federal and it didn't cost me anything and paid 41 cents to mail my state. I like doing my federal online because it does the math for me. :smile: State takes about five minutes because you only have to copy numbers from the federal.

You can use free file for <54k otherwise it's $17.50

Combined for wife & me is slightly over $60K - did the long forms to maximize deductions - only ended up getting maybe an extra $35 or so on the refund.

hitting the forms tomorrow... angry that this year It's Deductible is online and not down-loadable to my PC.. was hoping to itemize everything while carpooling to St Cloud tomorrow... now I have to wait to be connected to the internet...grrrr. :angry:

Charges for taxes. So I get my taxes done (I'd like to say I was procrastinating, but I seriously haven't had enough free time lately) and go to print off my state forms to mail in, and this stupid website wants to charge me 14 bucks to print it.

Not to self for next year, file state taxes manually.

I hear there's a new geo-tax starting up on May 1st. Anybody who has greater than 1000 finds or more than 20 DNFs will be affected. You will not be taxed on geocaches found when not using a GPS device. :smile:
