I might have to change the posting times of the clues then. If I post early the party might not interfere with early morning hunting. I dunno, gotta think about this.
I was hoping to post clues at 3 pm but don't think that will work now.
sorry about the timing mrmnmikey... we can celebrate your graduation too!... If you wanna post from our house feel free... who knows, some expeditions may just head out from our house to take a look... stranger things have happened when coolers get together!
As far as what to bring... we have some drinks but if you want a lot of beer or wine you might want to bring some... I will have punch, pop and some wine and beer. We have all the food stuff under control
I've got a nephew who may-may not want to get into model rocketry. I saw a website where someone found an old antique mining / dynamite "T" plunger box and used it for launching model rockets.
Apparently those plungers give about a 100 volt charge at extremely low amperage, so they can send a shock strong enough to ignite a model rocket charge, but really can't do much else with them.
Anyone know where one could acquire such a device? Those crappy plastic 9-volt hobby igniters are practically disposeable.
No I think I'll just post the clues early in the morning. That way everyone can look till 3pm and then hit the party. Anyone that can get up early the next morning might have an advantage (as long as I wake up).
Might be fun to have someone turn it in to me at the party!
Yes, really, we recycle them! They look waxy and shiny, but these cartons are actually made of 70-85% paper. The paper is separated from the metal lining and plastic coating in a pulping process.
It's easy!
1. Remove caps, rinse & flatten (plastic pour spouts are okay)
Like plastic bottles, unflattened cartons are bulky and full of air, filling the trucks more quickly. Help us save fuel and time by reducing the number of trips to the recycling center.
2. Put them in with bottles & cans
Even through they are mostly paper, they need to be collected with bottles and cans because we cannot separate them from paper and cardboard at the recycling facility.
check with your local recycling or trash provider...but most people didn't know this..
check it out!!! if you read the list you'll find something in your house you want to get rid of!!!
I'm going to do some cleaning i think.
looking at the list i'm going to bring some books here..
FOR LOCAL DROP OFF OF BOOKS AT OUR WAREHOUSE. Book drop off hours are every Wednesday from 10 am-3 pm and 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9am-noon at Books For Africa's Warehouse at 715 E. Minnehaha Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55106 USA
whats weird about that is that I just drove past a Books For Africa downtown (lowertown on 6th st? & Wakouta) the other night and I had never heard of it and thought it was a strange name for a bookstore.
Do they sell books too or just accept the donations?
Has anyone here used the Valu Thrift Store in Sun Ray Mall for donations? They've taken just about everything I've thrown at them. I guess technically they are not a "Charity", but they donate openly to the Lupus (sp?) Foundation. I got a nice set of Left-Handed golf clubs from them for a song, too.
Every semester we can sell our textbooks back to the bookstore (at a lower rate of course) and anything out of date can be donated right there to books for africa. I dont know if they sell books or not.
Not sure. I was just there this afternoon and the checkout girl told me about it. Usually they mark stuff up for nonmembers when they let them in, but she said they aren't upcharging anybody and its open all weekend to the public. I'm not sure if it's all of them or not, but I know Woodbury is.
kitch, for electronics and other hazardous waste you can go to the county eco site off of dodd and yank my doodle roads in eagan. they take stuff for free every saturday for county residents.
Dr. Stephen Gadient in Roseville/North Oaks is good. I used him when I needed teeth pulled before I got braces and also when I had my wisdom teeth out.

5. About bunnies? No.
Really?

These items must be good, clean and reusable. Only pass on what you would give to a friend!
Linens: towels, sheets, blankets, curtains, tablecloths.
Clothes: including belts, coats, hats, gloves, shoes and boots.
No wet or dirty clothes.
No rags or cloth scraps.
No household goods other than clothes and linens.
* Place items in a sturdy plastic bag, 30-gallon size or smaller.
    * Make sure the bag is not too heavy for one person to pick up easily.
Fasten the bag tightly so items will not get wet or fall out.
    * Clearly mark your bag CLOTHES & LINENS so that the drivers can see the bag is for recycling, not garbage.
    * Put your bag at the curb by 7 a.m. with your other recycling on any recycling pickup day.
    * Do not put any other recycling in plastic bags.
wow this is a great site...
