The Wild's style of play is as ugly and obnoxious as the uniforms, which look as if designed by a toddler who randomly pulled two crayons from the box of 64 and began scribbling.

If you can't beat 'em, break 'em.

I sincerely enjoyed myself reading all the negative comments posted towards that idiot. Great stuff! Many just like the following.

Kiszla overall I think you are as worthless as a rubber crutch in a polio ward, but congratulations, you have everyone in the Twin Cities laughing this morning with your cut-and-paste job from your 2003 article.

P.S. It shocks me that you have a job.

Pepsi won over coke tonight

I'm secretly rooting for coke though

wow! we got whompped on the first 5 minutes.

I love the fights!!!!!

good way to end a game!

will penalties be assessed to the next game for the fight in the end?

otherwise there should always be a fight in the end of every game.

Missed fight due to impending pounding.

How can you NOT take that as gay innuendo?

1. What, Kitch doesn't let you watch the hockey playoffs?

2. Is that what Kitch calls it? "Taking it to the pound?"

3. Boy, I hope the humane society changes the litter after you're "at the pound"....

Wasn't until the later 70's that you saw goalies with facemasks and helmets. Even in the 80's you still saw a lot of players without helmets. Kind of like visors are now.

It would actually make the ice colder, like a 'cold day in hell'... I am sure they don't use a lot

Looks like they are going to sacrifice a golf course the the NFL gods.

The location looks good for transportation, but it is directly north the rural areas hardest hit by the Spring wildfires, and adjacent to a wilderness area.

It is also only about 10 miles from the San Andreas fault. With that much glass in a stadium structure built directly into the ground? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that could get real messy if a 6+ tremor hits the area.

Good luck with all that!

As dominating as the Wild were tonight we still lost the game 3-2. Their goalie was awesome tonight. We had record shots on goal with only one real one sinking in. Either way, I made a goal of my own by finding this gem of a pucker. Nice to run into you Timbo. I heard another CC Wild fan in the crowd blabbing about finding the medallion or something. I wasn't sure who that was though. :eyeroll:

The Wild need to win Saturday or it's the end. But..... If they win - It's the big game #7 in our house once again.

ok - WIS on one side of us, ND on the otherside?

I think they are catching all the people driving through Minnesota from ND to WI on their beer runs. Its not Minnesotans, we're just Minnesota nice to let them drive on our interstates.

he Strib's Judd Zulgad reports that if newly acquired defensive end Jared Allen "gets into trouble" before next March, the Vikes will owe him $16.3 million, not $31 million. As a repeat DWI guy, Allen faces a full-year suspension for another incident. He gets $74 million he plays out his six-year deal. Vikes owner Zygi Wilf asked partners for a nearly $20 million infusion to pay Allen this year, the Strib's Kevin Seifert notes.

There is a cool picture here showing the progression of the playoffs so far, in order.

If you are interested, the final four are:

Western Conference

 - Dallas Stars

 - Detroit Red Wings

Eastern Conference

 - Pittsburgh Penguins

 - Philadelphia Flyers

My vote for the Stanley Cup Championship players - Dallas and Pittsburgh

so basically a few times everyday I have to call customer service at work for work, and if I don't look at the little post-it note with the area I work in, than I sometimes forget to say the right area and I say "this is j... in the"... NFC North or AFC North. I usually make a joke about being in the NFL, NHL and HTML or NSF

I'll have to look and see where I really work and what Im supposed to say...

I think its NFS North

Gomez hits for cycle last night. First since Kirby Puckett's in 1986. It was fun to watch. I was afraid they were going to call an error when he needed a base run to complete it and the throw to first base was off, but they didn't call it.

Holy Carp!

Biggest one caught by an angler in the northern hemisphere - third largest in the world. An Asian carp (yes the kind that jump out of the water) caught by a bowfisherman who is ALLERGIC to fish!

Anyone watch the Ponies run? I just happened to turn on the TV two weeks ago for the Kentucky Derby. The Preakness is this weekend.

Big Brown, who won the Derby easily is the favorite by a big margin. His odds for the Derby was 5/2 - now it's 1/2. They should be betting the over/under on how many lengths he will win this one. He really looks unstoppable.

I placed a bet on a horse riden by a jockey named Gomez in the Kentucky Derby because I like Carlos Gomez from the Twins. That's how I bet. Sometimes it works out. Not this time. The Twins won that day though.

For this race I'm picking Gayego riden by Mike Smith because I like Mike Smith and he got his start at Canterbury. We'll see how that goes. I never bet on favorites unless I'm boxing horses because you don't win any money that way.

Pittsburgh scores with around 30 seconds left to tie the game and save their season (for now).

The game is now almost halfway through the 2nd OT and I have no idea how it's not over, there have been TONS of great scoring opportunities mostly for Detroit but Pittsburgh has had quite a few too.

Detroit can win the Stanley Cup with a win as they are up in the series 3-1.
