Enjoy: Actually filing taxes prior to the eleventh hour!! (which is what I normally do) and have them go through smoothly (not like last year when their server crashed).
the last 5 years, I've made a copy of the pre-postmarked envelope with the last date possible, the check and the payment stub. If I'm paying the government than my tradition has become waiting until the last night and then driving to the post office on Kellogg in downtown St Paul. watch all the cars and their red backlights while waiting to give the envelopes to the guys in the reflective vests.
something quirky that I like to do. I guess its not a secret, just one of those warm fuzzies that I havn't shared.
Someone told me once your body only 'borrows' beer for processing - Wine on the other hand, gets 'Refined'. Not sure what to make of that.
A BIG frosty mug of some good Lager and I'm in heaven. I prefer drinking out of vessels I'm not afraid to put in the dishwasher.
My brother (the ex-chemist turned sub teacher) makes some great wine. He made a batch from my parents' Concord grapes - I entered it in a blind taste test at a party - it came in 2nd out of 11 bottles.
My wife has a miserable taste for sweet wines - she prefers the kind you can use as a sundae topping. Her favorite wine at the last tasting I went to tasted like liquid JuicyFruit gum.
I'm pretty picky about my wine - I don't even like 95% of the stuff we make here. People get mad at me for that, but I figure if I'm gonna drink it - I'm gonna like it.
boss coming around the corner at the coffee pot and asks when I was going to leave for lunch!! DOH!!! hahahahahaha OMG!!!!
Having work buy Chipotle for lunch today so I got TWO lunches ....
Getting called away from my desk to be given a Gerbera Daisy plant AND a 'get 3 hours FREE time off' card to use whenever I want!! I guess I'm considered a secretary of some sorts.
OH YEAH and at 2 o'clock we get FREE rootbear floats out on the deck!!!!
and tonight I'm taking Whitney for icecream for her birthday... well, yeah its for me too.
and now hearing on the radio, my first Neil Diamond advertisement for this concert coming up!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, first I get icing..... and now raspberries on top.
Having a real nice day so far. So far. I haven't stopped up to see the boss just yet. Not all of us can have me2's boss. The weather is phenomenal today! I'm super weather sensitive and days like this can really lift ones spirit no matter what life throws them.
But on days that are already going great - it helps make things just that much better.
I swear though, its hard brain work & constant problem solving.
the end of the month is coming quickly.. :frown:
I'm starting to get sad to leave the historical society.
I'll be there in freelance, advisory & volunteer capacity.
I just got done doing some house cleaning that I dont make much time for.... enjoying sitting on the couch for at least 10 minutes with an Arctic Berry Smirnoff before at least one kid hunts me down.
Its too bad the Historical Society can't pay you what you need to live on. Would be nice to be able to do something you love and not have to worry about the bills.
I don't know how you managed to do both jobs for so long. You must be superwoman!
You are totally correct sir!

isn't that what you meant to say?
or live in the fridge with the beer?
but than it would be 'what beer'? because you drank it all.
and then it would be that you live in the fridge with a bunch of empty bottles.
