At night in bed when I'm too wound up to sleep - so I think and bitch about work... then I talk to you guys!
Today people kept stopping by my desk today and saying are you OK - you seem to really concentrating on work and not enjoying yourself today...... SERIOUSLY - get a clue people - I'M BUSY...
sorry people are asking so much - you need a break
I got a guy today that called me a minimum of 5 times with no information and he expected me to work miracles for him.... I did! -but the miracles took too much time because he didnt have INFORMATION!! Dont come to me with NO information and want something from me NOW.
if I wern't so damned responsible I would be at the nearest airport right now. thats all I can really say. Just that I'd like things to just work out nicely for once. just once. well......... maybe a few times.
I had that problem with mine. Was a bad solenoid valve. It would leak in water when it wasn't supposed to and flood during the cycle because it came in faster than it could drain.
Another possibility is the float inside was held down by some dishes or something. It has to "float" to open the drain.
hospitals that advertise that they have free wi-fi available, but don't. then when you plug into the spare network jack across the hospital room, having access unavailable to about 90% of the internet because of content rules. more on that in the things you enjoy thread.
I've been doing heating loss and cooling load surveys (load calculating) for my house. All the info comes from the J-Manual
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) guidelines for sizing HVAC equipment, ACCAManual J Residential Load Calculation, enables contractors to estimate heating and air conditioning loads more accurately. Using Manual J, a contractor calculates heat loss from the building through walls and ceilings, leaky ductwork, and infiltration through windows, doors, and other penetrations as well as heat gain into the building from sunlight, people, lights and appliances, doors, walls, and windows, and infiltration though wall penetrations. Design conditions for the area are also used as inputs into load calculations.
For the first time in decades I've got the super-itchy sneezy allergy nose. Started taking generic Claritin to appease the itch - works like a charm, and I can still function at work - well, sort of.
Today is the third day this week I missed my alarm and had to break a few traffic laws to get to work on time. I don't FEEL tired, but there must be something in that medication that disables the 'starter' motor. Now I'm starving cuz I missed breakfast - and that makes me CRANKY!
I just wasted an hour of my life for NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING!!!!
A customer called in, said they got the wrong color paper, and needed the right color paper NOW, as in they are leaving at 3pm, I got the call at 12:30. Good news is, it's a special cut paper, it normally takes 3 days to get it done. I have 2 hours. Okay, make some calls, emergency deals, arrange for a guy to go to our paper vendor, pick up the paper, take it somewhere to get it cut, then rush it to the customer. Having done ALL that, I call the customer back to let him know he'll have the correct paper in an hour. He says "Well, I talked to the lady doing the printing, and she's happy with the color we got. Thanks for jumping through some hoops to try and get me the right kind though".
ARGH!!!! That took me an hour to setup! Now I gotta call 3 places back to cancel orders...
Today and bad stress. The only thing that helps me cope through weeks like this is knowing that it can't stay this way all the time. But it sure does suck when you're going through it. :eyeroll: :coolfrown:
For those that know me - I love to volunteer... Because of this sick obsession I have found myself volunteering for really cool things and getting into places that I would never be able to afford to go.
I was asked to volunteer at a special dinner for the US Women's Open - about 300 people will be there - in return as a thank you I would get some day passes for the tournament!! (I love golf)....
Now the irritate - the party is at a private home on lake Minnetonka and it turns out it is the home of Dunwoody's biggest donor (which while at work, no one deals with him expect the president of the school)... well I have been STRONGLY encourage to STAY AWAY from this event!
There are so many things wrong with this whole thing - but I don't want to jeopardize my job that pays the bills - UGH I hate politics!
when is it on?
just plain gross!
<edit> darn!!! missed it - I'm sure they will replay it
he is taking advantage of you.
He shoulda prioritzed the list or said get what you can get done - not put more pressure on you to get it all done to please him. MEN!

SOAK that neck :frown:

So...anyway...what evils are you dealing with that your magic bracelets cannot deflect away?

Have the best time! get tan! get drunk! we'll see you soon
"I need the Jana wow factor. I want you to find another Jana."
Well that's great and everything, but how am I supposed to do that?!?
There's only one REAL J-factor
