I wonder if they want one of the cooler crew to find it. Remember 2 years ago a lot of early discussion here was about Newell, and the next year it was hidden there. Early last year there was a lot of talk about Sweede Hollow so could it possibly be there... just noodeling
I believe that "If you first have a little laugh" suggests that it is a street which if you broke its name in half the first half would mean a little laugh. Perhaps a chuckle or a giggle, or a guffaw, or a chortle, or a smirk, etc.
allison, you don't write the clues for the real hunt do you? (methinks we may have found our mom p. lurker here :). all that for a street name? and me without a map.
Downtown Dave: Not a native Minnesotan but live here 7 years and have been involved in the hunt 3 years now. Never sent any e-mails on this page either although I read it especially during the hunt. Singled you out just to pass along yet another note of encourgement for your attempt at ridding yourself of a tobacco habit. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 18 years and haven't smoked in 11. Got a severe case of bronchial pneumonia in 1990. Tried to go back to it, though, but found what helped was changes in my lifestyle, eliminating the things that made you reach for the tobacco. It's just another method to add to the list. Worked for me. Also see you must be somewhat of a Red Green fan according to your women...handy statement. It's one funny show! As Red would say, "Keep your stick on the ice" and good luck hunting.
Hmmm, that would be awfully clever of me if I were, to make a detailed criticism of my own clues and call them lame to throw people off the trail. Mwah ha ha.
Well, since my 1:00 pm, it appears the posts sum up to this: 1. Mr. Allison is the clue writer. I don't believe this, but he does write the best explanations I have ever seen. I believe he could come up with justification for it to be taped to the big flashin neon "1", with just one clue out!
2. Pirate Ballerinas are the key to this puzzle. Isn't it hard to pirouette on a wooden leg? ARRRRGH.
3. Batman villians are in league with Pirate Ballerinas.
Were these too easy? Solved in a breezy? Maybe this your mental energy will drain. Hopefully it won't make you quesy To think twenty four hours before the Chicago train.
The ones I'm posting are all street names in St. Paul.
RushHarley, your's is the same as mine? Funny, I wouldn't have guessed that for yours, though maybe I can see it. Not sure about the girl in a flash unless its maybe somehow a reference to the lead singer of Quarterflash, which is all I can think of, though I don't know her name.
raft. allison started throwing out a clue describing a st. paul street. rush and rush have since joined in the creativity fest. i've got a couple of streets in mind but am lacking the inspiration to write poetry at the moment.

Allison, I thought about it and I now know what I have to do.
Ares, I knew all along you were here just felt like being cordial, alright who am I trying to kid.

Here's another
The Energizer bunny can be quite funny
As he just goes on and on.
But this tireless Duke made lots of money
On the charts in days not so long gone.
Hmmm, that would be awfully clever of me if I were, to make a detailed criticism of my own clues and call them lame to throw people off the trail. Mwah ha ha.
hey, i calls 'em as i sees 'em :). now if i just knew my music history...
nice double joe you got there.
Allison, Was that a little riddle ?
Would it be Earl Street?
Snelling
These are kind of silly but I'm making them up as I go here.
If your latitude indicates your attitude,
You might catch onto this game.
So seek some local fortitude
And apply the rule the same.
allison, were your clues supposed to be for the same street, or different ones?
I would have to say Snelling as well. FORTitude
These are all different. Earl is indeed the answer for the second one! (Hoping that's the one you meant it for, hehe).
Yes, Snelling is the answer for the third one. Still waiting for the first one.
I meant it for that one.
so are rh and i in the right vicinity for the first?
Cool, two in a row.
Minnehaha
I climbed as high as I could and looked around, but no, I couldn't see anyone in the vicinity.
Minnehaha
Minnehaha (a little laugh)! We have a winner!
ah someone else beat me to it

Do I have it?
Guess I'll have to make these harder!
That would be me!!!!!!!!!!! Two for me!!!!!!!!!
Let's see, gaffe is a faux pas (social blunder) and purloin is to steal.
Read into it too much.

I'll take a stab at one too.
If hunting the stash.
And you want the cash.
Then skip the hill and get over here.
Think of a girl in a flash.
And the street name will appear
I've got a simple one:
If you come dressed in scarlet
You should feel better
Try not to get frost bit
As you read this letter.
Allison, help me out here, was that last post a clue of a place. I guess i jumped in late, what's going on ?
You stole mine AW, it is the same answer as mine, so neither of us should post our answers until others have a chance to guess.
Rushmore's would be Hawthorne
good job on Rushmore's! I am certain that our answer is the same but I want everyone to try to figure em out.
Just taking a stab at it: Maryland?
Good job Allison.
Eileen Weida ?

No, not Maryland, though that was maybe going to be the next one I did, hehe.
Are you looking for Iris ?
St. Clair ?
Battle Creek is home to what you seek,
But not in the way you think.
So if you understand of what I speak
Into the treasure your teeth may sink
No way, not Iris! (shaking off bad memories)
White Bear Ave.
No, not that either. Now you're not just guessing street names at random are you? hehe
allison is your last one lexington? and no, that one's not a guess :). ok, maybe it is, but it's an educated guess.
Clueless, i think i'm supposed to guess a street name ?
