Hmmm, and where do you get that information Scribe? I heard something quite contradictory yesterday that claimed to be a reliable source. (Not meaning to question your authority so much as amused by how inconsistent the rumors are).
was he a vice president? but no, i got a bit more creative with my street choice than something referenced by the press a while ago. methinks you're gonna have to hunt for this one. admittedly, the map i'm looking at gives all of 5 or 6 blocks, and p.b. is about a mile away from it's southern terminus. maybe that one's a bit unfair.
Perhaps although is there a Cheney Street since he does use the word Chain in his clue.
AND BTW - yes AW, both of us had the same answer to that one clue about an hour ago, your answer is mine as well. So if you know yours you know mine. Hint when thinking of the word flash don't think of the "heart-hardening" band of the eighties think of an anthemic band of the seventies.
why, thank you bax. it took me a long time to find a decent street, and even longer to write the clue. i'll give it till quarter after 3 and post the answer. you've got yourself quite the stumper there, too.
oh, the correct html tags are br or p, too bad html isn't working right.
Here are the two I'm still waiting for answers for:
Battle Creek is home to what you seek, But not in the way you think. So if you understand of what I speak Into the treasure your teeth may sink
Were these too easy? Solved in a breezy? Maybe this your mental energy will drain. Hopefully it won't make you quesy To think twenty four hours before the Chicago train.
hey! I miss a lot by just going to school! this is way more people and posts than the pre hunt last year(at least to the best of my memory). I am sooooooo pumped!!!!!
note: streets are difinetely MY weekest point, due to my lack of expierience. but I got allisons 2nd and 3rd!!!!!

well, i'm a bit too young for 45's, but since they've been on the air, i've done a boatload of lyric searches, and quite a bit of '80s music has made its way from napster onto my computer.
Sandralee
No, afraid its not Lexington either.
Allison! I'm a little lost, what the heck is everyone geussing street names for this early????????
here's one:
to get a grasp on this st. paul street, have a look towards the east. think of something polar, and i assure you, it's not fleece.
That I would guess to be White Bear Ave.
Scribe, we're just practicing so we've been making up our own clues to street names and having the other people try to guess them.
see where the lack of creative inspiration is coming in, aw? consider that to be a "late in the hunt" clue.
Thanks Allison,I get it.:)
I just didn't want to read through 300 hundred posts!!!
The current clue writer is relatively new, this is his(her) third year,I think.
I really miss the old guy, seems the past few hunt clues have been a bit dry.
Hmmm, and where do you get that information Scribe? I heard something quite contradictory yesterday that claimed to be a reliable source. (Not meaning to question your authority so much as amused by how inconsistent the rumors are).
here's one that should be a touch more difficult:
many saint paul streets
have presidential names.
first or last, it matters not,
to us they're all the same.
recent hunts oft used them,
but when hunting for this street.
go amid the d.c. food chain,
and say "hail to the veep".
ahh. the creative juices flowed a bit better this time. one day, i'll get the formatting right.
Pierce Butler?
was he a vice president? but no, i got a bit more creative with my street choice than something referenced by the press a while ago. methinks you're gonna have to hunt for this one. admittedly, the map i'm looking at gives all of 5 or 6 blocks, and p.b. is about a mile away from it's southern terminus. maybe that one's a bit unfair.
Well Ares VP clue has me stumpped (of course the lack of a map at work doesn't help either), so here's a little one I came up with to give it a try:
A hunter with with good design
Won't be late
Nor need a magistrate
To find the correct sign
Hmmm, Albert St. maybe?
And Pierce was the name of a president, though now that I think about it he was never VP. I was thinking of Tyler.
Perhaps although is there a Cheney Street since he does use the word Chain in his clue.

Almost 10k before the big day(lame), man we are going to blow right by the presidential post(in # of posts)
not albert (move farther northeast), nor cheney (i don't know if it exists either).
welcome back tim
There wouldn't be a Quayle St., would there? A quail might be on the food chain.
any eagles around the end of battle creek allison? eagle st.?

While investigating the situation
To find the treasure's location
Noodle this clue with your head.
And if that doesn't give you the needed information
Search for a symbol instead.
getting warmer, aw. in fact you're ablaze.
Danforth!
and just as i was gonna post it, too.
So you give up on mine yet? Not sure about Bax-Man's or Rush's latest.
These two clues will get you to the same place:
Heres AW's:
Were these too easy? Solved in a breezy? Maybe this your mental energy will drain. Hopefully it won't make you quesy To think twenty four hours before the Chicago train.
and here is mine:
If hunting the stash.
And you want the cash.
Then skip the hill and get over here.
Think of a girl in a flash.
And the street name will appear
Just think of the US mint,
Don't forget to have many of these,
If you think you need a hint,
Collect them for 10 years if you please
monroe street?

I haven't given up on yours or rush's first yet. (give me time though and i may). i'm stuck on the chicago train.
allison- who is your question dirrected at?

ares- no, but I think my clue is too vague.
Bond was a guess at yours Tim.
something with a quarter (or more).
Hmmm, any chance yours might be University Rush?

Think of a place that children play,
But not necasarely young in years,
My last clue refers to what to pay,
Just pray the power stays on or you will be tears.

palindrome JOE
Arcade St. for Tim?
Ares- close, it has to do with quarters.
allison- ding ding ding, we have a winner.
ironically as we spoke earlier about Quarterflash, Harden my Heart just came on MIX104, the greatest radio station in the TC area.
toldja it was something with quarters :).
i'll agree rh, the mix rox. i miss my "oldies".
so allison eagle street for your b.c. clue? or am i ignoring, say, the last half of the clue?
Their playlist suggests they stole all my 45's.
No, actually the first part is the most important.
well, i'm a bit too young for 45's, but since they've been on the air, i've done a boatload of lyric searches, and quite a bit of '80s music has made its way from napster onto my computer.
