So, I'm outside here in the center of downtown Minneapolis testing out this new piece of equipment on our sidewalks when this rich dressed lady approaches me. She points out that I work downtown and wondered if I knew of any bird's nests in the area. I said I didn't think so, especially on our property since we keep everything perfectly clean. I brushed it off but she wasn't going to rest until something was done with this little critter who was certain to get smooshed one way or another unless it's mother found it.
Well long story short, I now have a little box sitting on my desk with a little bird inside of it waiting for a ride home with me.
That's the last time I mention that I have a 10 year old daughter to a stranger :eyeroll:
And on top of it our house will have a baby chick running around after tomorrow as well. Thanks to a certain 4th grade teacher who lives on a farm. What the heck am I supposed to do with a chicken?
I used to get chickens around Easter time. The local grocery store used to give them away if you bought some canned hash or something. They're cute until they grow up and start to crow when the sun rises. Neighbors frown on that. Mine always ended up on a farm eventually.
Every time the bird flaps its wings Stoli goes nuts. Way worse than the hamster or fish. I'm worried what Ali might find when she gets home today. :neutral:
