What turns your crank

OT

Shortly after Minnesota got the lottery, I bought five tickets and would play the same numbers based on family birth dates. Keep in mind that I have a large family, so I would mix them up over the five tickets. I woke up one Sunday and looked at the winning numbers. They were all my numbers! I about fainted. Grabbed the ticket and I didn't have one with the winning combination. :frown: I did have three numbers on three of them and won some money,. I would have split $27,000,000 with some woman who won the whole thing. That's when I stopped playing. Like you said, Tim, those numbers won't come up again.

I tried figuring it out one time-

I went on to the MN Lottery site and looked at the list of numbers

then circled the most common #s and the most common sequence - never had time to sit and figure it all out though. Some numbers did come up frequently - I remember 14 @ 21

Have the lost numbers ever actually appeared in a lottery? In any order?

I remember a bunch of people splitting a jackpot because they all picked the same set of numbers they found in a fortune cookie made by the same manufacturer.

Losing a couple more pounds

Now if I can just keep that up, I might be getting somewhere.

Now if people would just stop offering me extra food when I go for visits.... Then they act all shocked when I say "Actually, I think I'll pass", most try and push more on me, or act insulted if I don't eat whatever they happen to be offering. BTW it's not like I'm not eating, I'm just eating less.

Lol someone even mentioned to me "Guys shouldn't be worried about what they eat or weigh". A. What kinda rubbish is that? and B. I'm not "worried" about either (if I was, I'd be a wreck anyway), I'm just making better choices dangit.

Our pets....

Molly needed a new collar, so we took a field trip, with her and Bucky to PetSmart....

when we got there, they were having a "doggy happy hour".... for dogs/owners to meet eachother....

we had a free picture taken of us and the dogs, and they both got free cookies, and bandanas....

the best part?

they had a drawing, for you to put your dogs names into...

so we entered both....

they ended up drawing Bucky's name, and we won - an 18 dollar bag of dog food, a 14 dollar bag of cat food, and 30 cans of wet dog food!!!

they should like it tho.

they have a "dog days of summer" at a dog park here too... we went to that last year - they had a buncha tents/booths set up for various dog supply merchants...

Somebody had a small wading pool, where they would chop up hot-dogs and float them for dogs to get - "bobbing for hot-dogs", is what they called it..

Another idea for an old lawnmower -

(I used to have a plumber neighbor who was pretty good with a welding torch.)

Cut a vertical hole through the center of the mower, and then "wrap" it around a tree or telephone pole. Make it look like a tragic accident or a tornado result.

Another way is to cut it in half and put both ends on either side of a big tree.

If you get second glances, just say something like "Wicked storms we've been having lately, eh?"
