wyoming was like that for my girls and I - when we did our roadtrip. It was nice tho - we (sorta kinda?) blended in as best we could, and just tried to take it all in.
I had a lot more fun driving to Yellowstone last year then I had on the cruise. In 10 days we hit EVERY major tourist trap between here and Yellowstone.
We only ended up driving around Yellowstone for 3 days, but if you're not camping, you can still see just about everything once. Took a boatload of photos.
We did the trip around Mother's Day weekend - the weather cooperated beautifully. No lines or traffic for anything ANYWHERE. We only advance-booked one hotel at Yellowstone - everywhere else we stayed was a same-day call and reservation.
if you would use "us", as the object of the verb (as in "they screwed us") you would use "my wife and me".
if you would use "we", as the subject of the sentence (as in "we got screwed"), you would use "my wife and i". me/i always comes after the other subjects/objects in the collective.
So KC, I've been noticing as people chime in with fun things they're doing this summer you've pretty consistently said "No way I'd do that." I don't really know you all that well but from your postings - is your idea of a good time really driving up north and standing in a field for a couple of days? You play games, gamble - what else do you do?
stupid for anyone to say there is no other place to purchase something when there is.
Did they answer your questions? would Chris have to pay for the glasses? Did they agree that it was wrong of Chris to yell at you while you were wearing Honeymoon buttons?
awesome. I wish I would have read that last night. It makes sense.
enjoy: pretty much acing my test today - using all the grammar I was studying until last night around 1am..
but thanks to it, I understand much more as far as spanish goes. I'm getting to the point where I just understand now, and I don't actually translate it in my head - I see the words and ideas for what they are, not in english...
exactly! and I putted it for birdie.. which I don't see what the big deal is about putting - that and chipping is the easy part for me. It's the driving that I need to work on.
... or maybe I should actually just find a driver that I like. THAT might help too.

Kinda like Ford...
My wife wanted her AC topped off in her car. She called the Ford dealer in Hudson. They told her it's illegal to top off the AC in a car and they'd have to leak check the car, recover all the refrigerant and and recharge it all. All for $199.00.
I just bought a can of R 134a with a hose to charge it at Auto Zone for $17
in our experiences there are relatively few assholes that work for the mouse in a public-facing capacity, and when people do get out of line, disney has always stepped in with us and made things right. when you drop several thousand dollars for a disney vacation, you are entitled to expect courteous service and what we like to call "disney nice". although a fair number of them are, a lot of the stores in downtown disney are not owned or operated by disney; its just like a big mall with independent shopkeepers. and yes, many of them can be assholes.
good for you bear for standing up and not letting them get away with it. they'll think twice before treating another customer like that again.
I'd have to agree with that - if they are wearing a Disney uniform, the Mouse usually keeps them scared straight. I went to the K-Mart once in Orlando, and they were very friendly as well.
The dudes running the 7-11 / Kwik-E-Mart gas stations, however, were the biggest pricks I ever met in my life.
There was a couple specialty stores down there, where I could tell the managers judged you immediately by your appearance. I got very different reactions in the same store on two different days because I wore better clothes on the second visit. Basically got ignored the first time. Shallow.
I think that was probably part of the problem, a big sweaty guy going in trying to return 300 dollar sunglasses didn't really seem in line with the "hills" image that they're trying to portray.
Glasses got delivered...So we'll see about the refund.
The stack that was just taken down in St. Paul might be something we want to remember when the clues come out this next year. It could be a reference to be made.
Enjoy: Finding an outfit for the son's wedding - and with clearance prices!!!
Enjoy: Being invited to apply for a position that would mean considerable more money. Odd that this comes just as I am finishing up my 6 month probation period with the state.

gl - glad to here that
I was literally just thinking about that the other day
The question was "Is September 31st the day when most babies are born in the USA?"
obivously the answer is no, however I would think Sept 30th would be correct.
