I have a pair of softball spikes in the trunk. Those would be a massive pain to walk on concrete all day. Luckily I learned how to dress myself before I started taking the bus to school in Kindergarten...
I may be able to talk the Mrs into coming over tonight - right now I am floor washing, cleaning and polishing. If I don't get heatstroke, it may be a good idea to get out of the house while it dries. We'll see what happens.
As if it isn't hot enough already, I made strawberry jam today to take on vacation. All that boiling and steaming has done me in. My son is stopping over soon to put my window units in so I won't be one of those elderly statistics who die in their unconditioned houses.
I guess I wasn't up for cards - wasn't up for anything - after I got done with the floors I crashed for a hard nap. I did need sleep.
Got up just in time to grab something to eat before the storm hit. Right now we've got a wicked lightning show on the back side of the storm looking southeast towards Hastings. Just wild spiderwebs of light. I don't think I can capture it on camera, though.
Our sound guys brought a keyboard this year for the Talent Show, but forgot to pack the stand. They are planning on going out and buying one - but I figured I would try to find one to borrow first (they already had a Mixer Board and a pop-up tent trashed by storms this week).
If you got one - call my cell 651-334-9680 as I will be heading out to the fair grounds soon.
It was fun seeing all of y'all last night! Also, Iceman wanted me to post that he's doing a mock hunt and the kickoff is 7/26 at the Red Robin in Shoreview (Lexington and 694).
I am 80% around the beer garden, south tent and main stage.. the other 20% I'm up in the fair office. I don't leave the fair grounds (today I may for 30mins to go make copies)..
Hey BFG - Congrats on First - You coming out today? Are they having their championship tourny today (I don't know how they run it).
Gotta go back out to the fair -
Thanks Mucky for coming out to see me! Sorry you had a boring night - You made my day - it was great to see a familiar face -
I went to the Fair office and they said you were out "walking" the grounds. I had a headache coming on strong and one of the guys in the office gave me a couple blue and red pills. (note: I read somewhere NOT to take blue and red together but he seemed nice  ).
Got my cheese curds and foot long. Saw a couple people I knew but didn't stop to talk- my head hurt and I was trying to stay focused and not stop moving. Alex even looked right at me twice - I tried to wave but he didn't see me. Cool exotic animals and good food. I now know to enter the photo contests, quilts and stuff for next year. Cool. sad I didn't see you though.
Red Skelton's "Pledge of Allegiance" was first introduced on the Red Skelton Show on January 14, 1969. It has since been twice read into the congressional record of The United States and has received numerous awards.

California vintners in the Napa Valley area, which primarily produce Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio wines, have developed a new hybrid grape that acts as an anti-diuretic .
It is expected to reduce the number of trips older people have to make to the bathroom during the night.
