The genius for our class went to William and Mary college out east - I think she's now a Phys Ed teacher in South Dakota somewhere.

I just know our school flunked out less kids in ten years than you guys do in one semester!

I wasn't going to get into this, but SSP has three Minnesota governors and one presidential candidate. Harold Stassen, Harold Levander and Tim Pawlenty. Stassen is also the presidential candidate....many times over.

And let's not forget professional sports alumnae. Jim Carter, Jim LeClaire and Phil Housley. And of course, Doug Woog. Just because he's a good guy and I love him!

Looking at my list, seems as though it's a good thing to be named Harold or Jim in SSP.

How many Sibley graduates are going to find the 2009 Winter Carnival medallion?

Answer: One - me!!! At least, that's what I dreamt last night.

If I could only remember where I dreamt I found it!!

I do remember walking, then running (cuz I was so happy and excited) west on George Street, between Ohio and Smith, and trying to catch a bus to downtown to take the medallion in to the PP. And the PP had called me and told me they knew I had it and to get my butt down there with it.

I'll have to do some meditating and see if I can recall any more details.

that wasn't the medallion, eags. it was me2's house that you found

I got the sense that I'd found it east of George and Ohio. Perhaps Baker Playground. Not sure why I was trying to get up to Smith Avenue to go across the high bridge. I tried so hard to get back into the dream, or remember where I found it, in what, etc.

Maybe it will be a recurring dream!

you were probably looking for a high spot, so you could yell that you had found it...

What I *do* remember is the feeling of joy in knowing that I had it in my right coat pocket. I kept putting my hand in my pocket and making sure it was there. And I just felt soooooooo happy!!! I was thinking, "so THIS is what it feels like to find it" - just completely elated.

I had the dream once....

I found it at a park, that was on the border of maplewood, or woodbury, or something... and saint paul...

cant remember the name of the park, right now, but it actually exists... and I had never been there, prior to the dream...

its a SMALL park... probably about as big as my back yard...

I saw the park name sign thing, and a street sign, in the dream...

funny thing though, that year, the first 4-5 clues seemed to lead there (dont they lead EVERYWHERE!?!?!?), and I was so convinced that I called Steve (shaggy), at like 2:30 - 3:00am, after mapquesting my heart out,and looking at twin-cities map/road books....and convinced him to go out there with me to look...

upon pulling up to the park, we knew it was b.s...

we looked around for like 10-15 minutes and decided that it was a wasted effort... and the puck will never be there...

then we went to Phalen and got drunk.

are we going to cut this off with the first game? I think we should let people keep joining and just not count this first one if it comes down to a 1 game differential.

its easy...

1) losers buy the winner 1 beer at pre-dig or any other night during the hunt.

2) have to be in on the bet by week ...umm 3??

understand?

I would never make a beer bet week one - and since I only got about 50% of them right, I may HAVE to wait till week three to gain some confidence...

the bet is not a week to week bet...its for the entire season...

Valhalla I am coming!

Maybe I'm just too optimistic because it's early in the season, but I was actually encouraged by the Vikes performance last night. TJack started slow in the first half and missed a few throws he needs to make, but he looked very good in the 2nd half. I hate blaming the refs for anything but they missed 2 blatant pass interference calls including that 70 yarder, and then they call the one with 2 minutes left it made me wonder "hmmm, I wonder how many times they got away with that all night?". The offensive line did a decent job protecting him considering McKinnie wasn't in there and Green Bay has one of the best pass rushes in the league. AD is still AD, and it is good. The defense was kinda blah, but defenses typically are behind the offenses early in the year so hopefully they get going. I'd like to see a better pass rush considering Allen is supposed to be Jesus out there on the right end.

Overall I think expecations ballooned out of control when we became the chic NFC pick for the Superbowl. I still expect us to win about 10-11 games and win the NFC North. Next week will be quite the test against a mad as hell Indy team that rarely loses 2 in a row.

Mad_Dach5und

The Vikes have a great team - Tavaris just needs to make a Lasik appointment - his throwing aim is terrible! He's throwing the same locations he did last year - a lot behind or ahead of receivers - I seriously wonder if he's got depth perception problems.

I think you're right about the NFC North winner will have 10-11 games - our division is rather mediocre this year.
