A Carribean cruise, an Alaskan trip by boat or rail, and one other place I can't remember now were considered, but with hurricane season this time of year, the cruise in the Carribean was dismissed. They checked into the Alaska trips, but it's too late in the season there and most of any tour packages stop at the beginning of September. The third choice was too expensive so they opted for Disney World.
The wedding will be here in St. Paul. Much of her family is in the Grand Marais area where she grew up. I'm happy we aren't traveling that far.

I've got a Rocky script complete with audience heckle lines somewhere in this computer. If I recall - it's in an un-formatted text file, so it's a real mess to clean up.
I have dentist and a DR appt tomorrow or else I woulda been up early too. We'll be up friday around noon or so. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys too!
Brenda will be home tomorrow before I go to sleep. :grin: :grin:
Heard from Inks' family tonight. They won't be here until after lunch on Saturday. That takes a chore off the list. I thought we'd have to feed them lunch....all 7 of them. Now it's 0. :sillygrin: :sillygrin:
Brenda's plane is in the air - heading for home. I can hardly stand it. We have missed her so much.
I will be dragging tomorrow. I thought I'd take a nap this evening. Now I'm afraid to fall asleep in case I wouldn't wake up to go get her from the airport.
The rehearsal and dinner was very nice. They had asked my Mom to do the toast at the dinner. My Mom did a very nice toast and I guess it almost set my almost daughter-in-law to tears.
The dinner was a Muffaleta's. I can't say I was impressed with the food for the price. It was the company that made it so nice.
All of the groomsmen are friends of Brians that he has known for many years. Only one of them isn't married yet but he's engaged with no wedding date set yet.
Everyone of them is so tall. Brian is so short in comparison. That has always made me laugh. He'd be in the midst of all these friends who tower above him, most of them blonde, and he'd be the short dark haired doofus in the middle of 'em.
Brenda is doing a reading with a poem she wrote following that. She's been working on getting it perfected for awhile now. It's ready to go.
I'll post that after this one so it doesn't cut off.
We are just home. Long day. Beautiful wedding and beautiful reception.
Only glitch was the caterer lost the place cards, the guest book and the table markers. All of it should be together, but they couldn't find the stuff. The table markers were pictures of them at various ages...so like table 2 would have been the pictures of each of them at 2 years of age, table 14 would have been each of them at 14 years. They had worked hard in gathering all those, scanning them and getting them just right. And she is a scrapbooker and had made their guest book with her own special twist. There was a certain disappointment about that. You can bet there will be compensation for that blunder by the caterer.
But the food was excellent, the 3 toasts were done so well. Those toasts were given first by the best man, second by the maid of honor and last, but not least, a short one by Brenda.
I think everyone had a great time.
Brian and Amy had been taking some dance lessons.
They did the first dance that started off as a slow dance and ended up with a fun little number they had worked on in dance class...and it was a total surprise and done very well.
The next couple days, we'll get photos from the camera and I'll share those when we do.
So many wonderful conversations and memories that I will hold in my heart forever.
We gained an absolutely wonderful daughter-in-law today. I'm a happy momma.
They will be leaving about 6am tomorrow for their honeymoon.
Perhaps the caterer can put all those photos on CDs to send out to the guests as a way to make amends - at the caterer's expense. I wonder where those items will turn up.
Eags, I told Amy at the end of the evening that I knew she was disappointed about the glitch, but in the long haul it only matters that she and Brian found each other and are now ready to begin their lives together as husband and wife. She seemed to appreciate that thought.
And getting some money back from the caterer for the glitch will not be a bad thing either.
Need to "repo" my sons car sometime soon. Looking for a place to store it until I can drive it up north. I have the spare key and I know where he spends most nights.. my best bet will be a week night to grab it.
My folks co-signed the loan - my son has missed payments and insurance runs out on the 30th... if my folks don't take action they will be held liable... since he wont answer our calls or requests to talk to him its time to go and just get it...
I'd add a little personal touch - like take all the CD's and personal effects out of the car and place them in a gift-wrapped box on the ground where the car was parked...
I'm excited for you!!!
where are they going for their honeymoon?
I'd ask where the wedding is but don't know if thats postable butI look forward to photos.

Look into the eyes of the one you love;
Catch a glimpse of the twinkle as they look back.
Watch how their soul speaks to your heart.
And see eternity in a moments glance.
Feel the caress of the one you love;
Holding one anotherÂ’s hands;
Giving or receiving a gentle massage;
And embrace the feeling of passion and desire.
Breathe in the scent of the one you love;
As youÂ’re hiking on a trail in the Northwood parks,
Or enjoying a meal that your loved one has prepared,
And as you cuddle so endearing in one anotherÂ’s arms
Taste the kiss from the one you love;
As a gentle hello;
Or a soft goodbye.
And as you first open your eyes.
Listen to the voice of the one you love;
Telling animated jokes;
Or whispering sweet nothings;
And saying forever “I love you”.
All of LoveÂ’s moments have images that last a lifetime.
Reminiscing of the beginning and creating new visions.
Images of LoveÂ…
Includes today’s saying “I do”.

I don't know where you found the time to post updates but I'm glad you did. It's like a mini blog to look back on.
I bet you're recovering today from a wonderful weekend.
Congratulations on your new daughter. :sheepish: hug.
Not backing out, just wondering. When're we stealing?
