Sorry about earlier, Iceman. I was sleeping and my phone wasn't on. I definitely wanted to go meet up with you guys. We (all coolerheads, I mean) should get together again soon! I hate missing out on all this stuff.
I seriously need to get a workout routine for the winter. If ANYONE has a broom ball league or indoor volleyball team looking for players, I'd like to recruit myself. I USED to be good at both sports, but its getting to be double-digit years since I did both...
interesting that this was all in the works and the perp dies!
Mayor Coleman, Assault Victim to Light Up Phalen Park for Holiday SeasonMayor Chris Coleman will join the survivor of a random attack this summer to turn on the lights to MinnesotaÂ’s first Holiday Lights in the Park presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Mayor Coleman and Tammie will flip the switch on the .6-mile long display in Phalen Park during a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, near the Phalen Park Golf Course Club House, 1615 Phalen Drive East. The event is free and open to the public.
Coordinated by members of King of Kings Church in Woodbury, Holiday Lights in the Park brings to the Saint Paul-Minneapolis region the same kind of spectacular holiday light display that IBEW has constructed in other Midwest cities. Keeping with the MayorÂ’s Sustainable Saint Paul initiative to promote environmental stewardship, the multiple displays will be lit with LED lights at a cost of $25 per night.
In addition, the holiday celebration will raise funds for four local charities: Second Harvest Heartland, Union Gospel Mission, Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, and UnderConstruction. The cost to tour Holiday Lights in the Park will be $8 per car Sunday through Thursday and $10 on holidays, Fridays and Saturdays. Special rates will apply to motorcoaches and limousines.
Tammie was assaulted in Phalen Park in August while walking late at night. A cancer patient, she is returning to the park with her family and the Mayor for the event to promote the positive energy Phalen Park brings to the community and give hope for the season.

And I am going to go to the antques shop over here and look around!! any one wants to meet me there It is the one on Annapolis and Smith but I dont think I will be there LONG!!!
King of Kings has a boatload of volunteers out there tonight. I believe the Men's chorus will be out there tonight as well. I dunno if all the cookies the volunteers are baking are for the public or just the volunteers - Nick would be impressed.
I think I'll take the grandkids out to Phalen sometime this weekend. Thanks for the info! I knew it was coming up, but didn't realize it was starting so early.
It's been a while since I checked in. Hope all is well out there for everybody. I'll be eating Turkey tomorrow and then dreaming of finding the puck this year. I'm getting pumped already. When is the pre dig get together?
Our family has so very much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...and in many ways, way more than we ever have had before - or maybe it's more like more than we realized prior to this past year.
Here's wishing you all the very best of Thanksgivings, lots of good food, loving family, goofy relatives, super friends, loads of laughs and good cheer.
I'm seeing if a non-cooler crew friend wants to go for dinner with me there. Let me know if you are planning on coming out and I will attempt to save seats (or you are free to join for dinner too! the more the merrier)
NO HOST Memory!??!?!
what the hell is that!?!?!?!
Just got home from church. Watching the game starting at 1/2 time.
