Hawkeye was sighted in Lake Front Park in Hudson yesterday! Some pretty definite sightings.
His former owner is on her way back down from Brainerd again, and others will be searching today.
There is more hope this morning, now that he's been seen.
If anyone wants to help by posting links to any photos or info about that area that you can find that would be helpful, please do so and I will post the info on the website where the searchers are posting.
We will already be looking on google maps/satellite and anywho maps birdseye view, but any other little tidbits of info that might help would be appreciated.
If anyone knows that area well and can post tips, that would be great too.
I am amazed at how much this is like medallion hunting, only with a moving prize and a life at stake, but the clues are searchable and researchable.
I can't believe animal control hasn't picked up Hawkeye yet. My daughter's dog slipped his collar last summer and our animal control had him within half an hour.
Once he's found, someone should write a book on Hawkeye's Great Adventure. Maybe he's having the time of his life.
Last night when I was downtown at the Excel we drove past Matty B's. It was very closed and dark....a paper sign was in the window. Looked closed to me!
If my hubby gets home from doing inventory at work in time to watch the kids I will be there - other wise I will need to congratulate you on another date!
Did the dog respond to its former owner? Is this a pet or a breeder? I hope he can be rescued before dark. He has to be awfully cold now that he's wet.
The dog did not respond to the former owner, who has had him for 18 months.
Not sure if he is just too scared or if he couldn't hear her in the wind.
It sounded like the dog was just feet away on that island.
I do not understand how he got away.
But now he's on the MN side, on land, on railroad tracks. The police have shut down the railroad for now and are going to try live traps.
I guess Fox 9 news is out there.
The people coordinating the search are asking people to not chase the dog, yell at the dog, etc., but of course everyone thinks they are a miracle worker.
They need to make a perimeter so the dog goes to his owner.
Maybe now that they are away from the open water, he will be able to hear her, but first they have to get her across to the MN side!
yea, its a problem with the server. Numerous people have posted about it in the forum performance thread so the sysop should know about it. Use your back button and repost when that happens.
I'm feeling the need for adult time and would love to meet you out there however...tomorrow is Elizabeths birthday so I get to be a good little mommy and stay home even though we already celebrated.
Not sure about Saturday LAM. I'd like to show up but have kid issues myself. She's busy making cookies and not sure when she'll be back home. But I want to try and make it anyway.
Even if you don't RSVP you are still more than welcome to show up I just wanted to get an estimate today so I could let Casper's know for sure how much food we need. Please feel free to stop by if you find yourself with nothing else to do. I'd love to see you all again!
Question to those with young daughters or who know anything abuot young kid music....I'm not a huge music person I listen to the radio but I don't do a whole lot of CD buying unless there is something that's really grabbed my attention.
Anywho Elizabeth is starting to enjoy music a little (she's 8 as of today wow how'd she get so old?) I'm planning on getting her a Hannah Montana CD for Christmas but I was wondering if there are other group's/CD's I should look at I don't want to just grab something off the rack and have it really suck. The only CD's she has truely listened to until this point have been kid CD's with kid songs not real music if you know what I mean....HELP
At Walmart there are those Kiosks that have music where you sample (usually easy listening stuff)... do you know what I mean? They have 2 CDs for girls, Lyn loves the Cheerleaderz one - popular music but geared towards young girls.)
I got invited to the Ordway this weekend. Sunday at 2:00pm. Problem is it is my responsibility to find a place to eat after wards. The criteria is Fabulous DESSERTS! There is going to be a snow storm so downtown would be nice, but all of St. Paul and the nearby burbs are fair game.
I dated the airiss to the candyland thrown!!!! she was CRAZY!!! but fun and LOADED mostlky the dumbest thing I have ever done getting rid of HER!?!?! :eyeroll:

There has been a couple times I've swung by on a Sunday evening and they have been closed.
Former owner is there now.
Police and ice rescue are there too.
One of the TV stations is there, covering.
Rob Olson - whatever channel he is on.
Not sure if he is just too scared or if he couldn't hear her in the wind.
