Sue you were right look at this post from Terry V Remember I couldn't place Bates well she did and she agrees with you!

I found a piece in the Street Where You Live related to Maria Bates for whom Maria St. in Dayton's Bluff was named.

We were at Perkins on Friday night and I kept saying Bates Bates why does bates seem to ring a bell she said Master I was like what?? It took me to put Master and Bates together (slow moment) and then TV posts it with a truth behind it not a joke....Sue is smarter than she lets on some times!
