Wow, a tree in my yard is full of robins! I've counted up to 20 but they keep landing and flying away again. I'm looking at ten right now just sitting in the branches. I took a couple of pictures but not sure how they'll turn out. My digital isn't that good.
Ahhhh, it's good to be home! Figured out the Able Minds paid forum (thanks Able Forum, Mark and Tim) and now can't wait for the first clue. My family is groaning, but they have joined in every year...!
Wish I could enlarge that. Did they have the classic orange or reddish breast? Robins do descend on trees like that in winter, but so do bohemian waxwings and cedar waxwings, and a few other species. Is there anything to eat in that tree? I usually see big flocks in my trees that still have berries on them, and then when they have picked the tree clean, they move on through the neighborhood.
I get cedar waxwings too. They fly in on an afternoon in late fall and eat all of the pips off my flowering crab. These are red breasted robins. I saw them last week on my porch roof drinking melting water between the shingles. Today I saw one at my feeder and looked around and found the rest of them in the trees. They flew in and out of the trees for about an hour and then disappeared again.
cool robins. sarah (my oldest) txted me a pic last week with a bunch of birds in the yard cause it freaked her out.

I wont spoil it for yah if you have it d v r'd but OMG! her speech brought me to tears and I was so excited for her and I about fell off the bed laughing at the guys speech! he swore at one of the guys involved in the movie and the guy flicked him off and it wasn't bleeped out!! :goofy: :grin: :litesmile:
I noticed the same thing the other day in the trees on the boulevard outside my house. They said something about it on the news in the morning that robins change their diets from worms to berries and will stick around instead of migrating if there is a food source. I thought it was kind of cool.
wtheck are all of those double lines under words? it happened with 2 words I posted in my last post - 'watch' which I changed to 'see' and 'dvr' which I double spaced in between the letters to get rid of the double lines.

I saw them again this morning in the trees across from Lawshe Park. :smile: I stopped and watched them for a while. I wanted to take a picture with my cell phone, but don't know how. Just got a new phone last night and learning how to use it. All I know is that its a pretty phone. All shiny and stuff.
I can barely figure out the Able Minds registration and sign-up, let alone a phone like yours!! I have a pre-1980's cell phone that is as big as a shoe box....
My previous phone was a discard of my daughters she got with a Best Buy employee discount. Cost me $6 a month. It stopped working for her, so I took it and hit it on the wall a few times and it worked for five more years. Best Buy finally figured out she quit that job eight years ago and shut it off.
