Lyrics to Snow Miser Song :

I'm Mister White Christmas

I'm Mister Snow

I'm Mister Icicle

I'm Mister Ten Below

Friends call me Snow Miser

What ever I touch

Turns to snow in my clutch

I'm too much!

[Chorus:]

He's Mister White Christmas

He's Mister Snow

[Snow Miser:]

That's right!

[Chorus:]

He's Mister Icicle

He's Mister Ten Below

[Snow Miser:]

Friends call me Snow Miser,

What ever I touch

Turns to snow in my clutch

[Chorus:]

He's too much!

[Snow Miser:]

I never want to see a day

That's over forty degrees

I'd rather have it thirty,

Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

[Chorus:]

He's Mister White Christmas

He's Mister Snow

[Snow Miser:]

That's right!

[Chorus:]

He's Mister Icicle

He's Mister Ten Below

[Snow Miser:]

Friends call me Snow Miser,

What ever I touch

Turns to snow in my clutch

...too much.

[All:]

Too Much!

In a dark winter snowfall, cold frost in my hair

Warm smell of hot coffee, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

I dropped my shovel and put down my Guide so I could track through the white.

There she sat on a snow mound; With her laptop and cell

And I was thinking to myself, 'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'

Then she pulled up the website and she showed me the way

There were voices there in every post, I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel Coolerfornia

Such a lovely place such a lovely place In this Medallion Race

Plenty of room at the Hotel Coolerfornia

Only once a year, only once a year you can find it here

Their minds are treasure hunt-twisted, they're tracking all the clues' trends (ugh).

There's a lot of crazy, crazy folks, and they're all friends.

How they noodle the clues, thinking they're set.

But the mistakes they made last year, they tend to forget

So I emalied the Sysop, 'Please don't make me whine'

He said,'We haven't had a monitor here since nineteen ninety nine'

And still those voices are calling from far away,

Keep you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel Coolerfornia

Such a lovely place In this Medallion race

They're huntin' it up at the Hotel Coolerfornia

What a nice surprise, if they find the prize.

Buttons on the dresser, Leftover boxes of fried rice

And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device'

And there on the Cooler boards, They've gathered, now they're stuck

They noodle it with their crazy thoughts, But they just can't find the puck.

Last thing I remember, I was Reaching for the drawer

I had to find the map back To the place I dug before

'Relax,' said the huntress, In spotters you will believe.

You can logout any time you like, but you can never leave.

Dreamed I was an eskimo

Frozen wind began to blow

Under my boots and around my toes

The frost that bit the ground below

It was a hundred degrees below zero...

And my mama cried

And my mama cried

Nanook, a-no-no

Nanook, a-no-no

Don't be a naughty eskimo

Save your money, don't go to the show

Well I turned around and I said oh, oh oh

Well I turned around and I said oh, oh oh

Well I turned around and I said ho, ho

And the northern lights commenced to glow

And she said, with a tear in her eye

Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow

Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow

On the Dark Side

The dark side's callin' now

Nothin' is real

She'll never know just how I feel

From out of the shadows

She walks like a dream

Makes me feel crazy

Makes me feel so mean

Ain't nothin' gonna save you

From a love that's blind

You slip to the dark side

Across that line

On the dark side, oh yeah

On the dark side, oh yeah

The dark side's callin' now

Nothin' is real

She'll never know just how I feel

From out of the shadows

She walks like a dream

Makes me feel crazy

Makes me feel so mean

Ain't nothin' gonna save you

From a love that's blind

You slip to the dark side

Across that line

On the dark side, oh yeah

On the dark side, oh yeah

[Instrumental Interlude]

Ain't nothin' gonna save you

From a love that's blind

You slip to the dark side

Across that line

On the dark side, oh yeah

On the dark side, oh yeah

On the dark side, oh yeah

On the dark side, ooooooh yeah

"moving in stereo"

Cars

Fast times at ridgemount high

Lifes the same Im moving in stereo

Lifes the same except for my shoes

Lifes the same youre shakin like tremolo

Lifes the same its all inside you

Its so easy to blow up your problems

Its so easy to play up your breakdown

Its so easy to fly through a window

Its so easy to fool with the sound

Its so tough to get up

Its so tough

Its so tough to live up

Its so tough on you

Lifes the same Im moving in stereo

Lifes the same except for my shoes

Lifes the same youre shakin like tremolo

Lifes the same its all inside you

Lifes the same Im moving in stereo

Lifes the same except for my shoes

Lifes the same youre shakin like tremolo

Lifes the same its all inside you

Figured I post the whole thing here. Funny my sister thought the first part of clue 8 sounded like song lyrics and my husband is a HUGE Springsteen fan. He puts 2 and 2 together and gets 3.

Land of Hope and Dreams

Grab your ticket and your suitcase

Thunder's rolling down the tracks

You don't know where you're goin'

But you know you won't be back

Darlin' if you're weary

Lay your head upon my chest

We'll take what we can carry

And we'll leave the rest

Big Wheels rolling through fields

Where sunlight streams

Meet me in a land of hope and dreams

I will provide for you

And I'll stand by your side

You'll need a good companion for

This part of the ride

Leave behind your sorrows

Let this day be the last

Tomorrow there'll be sunshine

And all this darkness past

Big wheels roll through fields

Where sunlight streams

Meet me in a land of hope and dreams

This train

Carries saints and sinners

This train

Carries losers and winners

This Train

Carries whores and gamblers

This Train

Carries lost souls

This Train

Dreams will not be thwarted

This Train

Faith will be rewarded

This Train

Hear the steel wheels singin'

This Train

Bells of freedom ringin'

This Train

Carries broken-hearted

This Train

Thieves and sweet souls departed

This Train

Carries fools and kings

This Train

All aboard

This Train

Dreams will not be thwarted

This Train

Faith will be rewarded

This Train

Hear the steel wheels singin'

This Train

Bells of freedom ringin'

Here's a spring you can sing about. One of my favorites. Any flashing blue-green lights flashing there?

Silver Spring/Stevie Nicks

You could be my silver spring;

Blue-green colors flashing.

I would be your only dream;

Your shining on a ocean crashing.

And then you say she was pretty;

And then you say that she loves you.

Baby, I don't want to know.

I begin not to love you;

Turn around, see me running.

I said I loved you years ago;

Tell myself, you never loved me, no.

And then you say she was pretty;

And then you say that she loves you.

Baby, I don't want to know.

And then you tell me,

Was it worth it?

Really, I don't want to know.

Time cast its spell on you,

But you won't forget me.

I know I could have loved you,

But you would not let me.

Time cast its spell on you,

But you won't forget me.

I know I could have loved you,

But you would not let me.

I'll follow you down till the sound

Of my voice will haunt you.

You'll never get away from the sound

Of the woman that loves you.

I'll follow you down till the sound

Of my voice will haunt you.

Was I just a fool?

You'll never get away from the sound

Of the woman that loves you.

Was I just a fool?

I'll follow you down till the sound

Of my voice will haunt you.

Give me just a chance.

You'll never get away from the sound

Of the woman that loves you.

You could be my silver spring;

My blue-green colors flashing.

I have climbed highest mountains

I have run through the fields

Only to be with you

Only to be with you

I have run

I have crawled

I have scaled these city walls

These city walls

Only to be with you

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

I have kissed honey lips

Felt the healing fingertips

It burned like a fire

This burning desire

I have spoke with the tongue of angels

I have held the hand of a devil

It was warm in the night

I was cold as a stone

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

I believe in the Kingdom Come

When all the colors will bleed into one

Bleed into one

Well, yes I'm still running

You broke the bonds

And you loosened the chains

Carried the cross

Of all my shame

all my shame

You know I believe it

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

Monday, February 2nd - 50 Years ago was The Day The Music Died

AP Story - Rock Fans Recall...
Surf Ballroom given Historical Landmark Status
Map of the Winter Dance Party Tour
American Pie Lyrics - with links to explain the words

American Pie by Don McClean (1971)

A long, long time ago... I can still remember how that music - used to make me smile.

And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance; and, maybe, theyd be happy, for a while...

But February made me shiver, with every paper I'd deliver; Bad news on the doorstep; I couldn't take one more step.

I can't remember if I cried, when I read about his widowed bride; but something touched me deep inside, the Day the Music Died.

So bye-bye, Miss American Pie.

Drove my Chevy to the Levee, but the Levee was dry.

And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye, singin, this'll be the day that I die.

This'll be the day that I die.

Did you write the Book of Love, and do you have faith in God above; If the Bible tells you so?

Do you believe in rock n roll; can music save your mortal soul; And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that you're in love with him; `cause I saw you dancin' in the gym. You both kicked off your shoes. - Man, I dig those rhythm and blues.

I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck; with a pink carnation and a pickup truck; but I knew I was out of luck, the Day the Music Died.

I started singin'... Bye-bye, Miss American Pie.

Drove my Chevy to the Levee, but the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye, and singin', this'll be the day that I die,

This'll be the day that I die.

Now for ten years weve been on our own; and moss grows fat on a rolling stone; But thats not how it used to be...

When the Jester sang for the king and queen, in a coat he borrowed from James Dean; and a voice that came from you and me,

Oh, and while the King was looking down; the Jester stole his thorny crown; the courtroom was adjourned; No verdict was returned.

And while Lennon read a book of Marx; the Quartet practiced in the Park; and we sang dirges in the dark, the Day the Music Died.

We were singing... Bye-bye, Miss American Pie.

Drove my Chevy to the Levee, but the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye, and singin', this'll be the day that I die,

This'll be the day that I die.

Helter Skelter in a summer swelter; the birds flew off with a fallout shelter; eight miles high and falling fast.

It landed foul on the grass; the players tried for a forward pass, with the Jester on the sidelines in a cast.

Now the half-time air was sweet perfume; While the sergeants played a marching tune; We all got up to dance; Oh, but we never got the chance!

`cause the players tried to take the field; The marching band refused to yield... Do you recall what was revealed, the Day the Music Died?

We started singing... Bye-bye, Miss American Pie.

Drove my Chevy to the Levee, but the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye, and singin', this'll be the day that I die,

This'll be the day that I die.

Oh, and there we were all in one place; A generation Lost in Space; with no time left to start again.

So come on: jack be nimble, Jack be quick! Jack flash sat on a candlestick; 'Cause fire is the Devil's only friend.

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage, my hands were clenched in fists of rage; No angel born in hell, could break that Satan's spell.

And as the flames climbed high into the night; to light the sacrificial rite; I saw Satan laughing with delight, the Day the Music Died.

He was singing...

Bye-bye, Miss American Pie.

Drove my Chevy to the Levee, but the levee was dry.

Them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye, and singin', this'll be the day that I die,

This'll be the day that I die.

I met a girl who sang the blues; and I asked her for some happy news; but she just smiled and turned away.

I went down to the sacred store, where I'd heard the music years before; but the man there said the music wouldnt play.

And in the streets: the children screamed; the lovers cried, and the poets dreamed; but not a word was spoken; the church bells all were broken.

And the three men I admire most: The father, son, and the holy ghost; They caught the last train for the coast, the Day the Music Died.

And they were singing...

A bunch of my girlfriends and I used to go to Teen Night at the Prom Ballroom. None of us had a driver's license yet, we were only 15, so we'd take the bus. One night a week was just for teens and Bill Diehl was the emcee. They usually had local bands but once in a while they'd have a name group. We went to the concert where those three played about a week before they were killed. I remember we had fun, we usually did. What I remember best though is that shortly after that they were killed.

The only other name group I remember seeing there was Danny and the Juniors.

Mn Public Radio interviewed Bill Diehl and Roger Erikson about that event yesterday. Roger was the Radio DJ at KFGO in Fargo and was one of the people waiting for the plane to arrive when it never did.

They said that whole tour was bone-chilling cold - the bus blew a piston rod near Hurley, WI and they pretty much lost the use of their drummer because of bad frostbite. By the time they got to Clear Lake, IA they were absolutely fed up with the cold bus and Buddy chartered the flight instead.

We can go out, you don't have to be such a Boy Scout

What you're givin' is not enough

So baby I'll call your bluff

'Cause you're just a tease

Baby, please don't tease

I'm getting down on my knees

Baby, please don't tease

C'mon and give it to me

Hey now, I'm gonna get with you somehow

I'm on a mission, I gotta get your permission

You shouldn't try to look so good

If you don't wanna be misunderstood

'Cause you're just a tease

Baby, please don't tease

I'm getting down on my knees

Baby, please don't tease

C'mon and give it to me

Don't act like you really want it

'Cause we're never gonna GET DOWN ON IT

If you're just a tease

I'm gettin' down on my knees

If you're just a tease
