I usually carry the most recent paper with the newest clue and the previous clues printed in it. Just in case I stumble upon it, don't cha know.
Boxelder is the only maple in Minnesota that has a compound leaf. It is the most widespread maple found in the United States and Minnesota. Boxelder prefers moist sites, but adapts to a variety of conditions. It grows fifty to seventy feet in height and two to four feet in diameter. It often divides near the ground into numerous branches that form a wide-spreading crown.
Boxelder leaves are opposite, but are odd-pinnate, with three to nine coarsely-toothed leaflets. The terminal leaflet is sometimes shallowly lobed. The flowers are small, yellowish-green, dioecious (male and female on different trees), and appear before the leaves. The fruit occurs in V-shaped winged pairs, forming long, drooping clusters that remain on the tree throughout the winter. The bark is pale gray or light brown, and deeply divided with broad scaly ridges.
Oh,oh, I think I have one of thoses trees growing in my back yard. A very fast growing tree and I'm sure that at some point will provide a lot of shade but I hate those darn bugs and they're bound to come along.
If the link doesn't work, go to: Google Books and search for "Don Boxmeyer" there are 125 books written by him or he has a part in it. The Street Where You Live looks like a great history of St Paul street names.
Last year I was able to book mark certain post and this year I get an error message saying this function is not available or I don't have permission to use it. Anyone have any remedies?
There was a glitch awhile back, and people had to reset some of their settings in order to get bookmarks and other features to work again - can't recall what exactly you'd need to do, but I'll bet someone here remembers and can post about it.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it down to Obb's last night. Some friends from high school had my wife and I over last night and it went later than I thought it would. I trust it was a good time as always? Where's the meeting spot tonight?
Try going into your preferences and making sure there a check mark to enable /use the message center. That setting got messed up a while back when they did a reboot or maint of the system.
Preferences > Enable special user functions > Message Center
Make sure theres a check mark there. If not check it. If still dont work go back to same spot and click "install" button to install the message center.
Thank you! I finally figured out that the first clue came out early because of the early edition of the Sunday paper. (I'm a little slow I guess, LOL!) :sheepish:
Quest synonyms inclue: dog, tail, trail, give chase, bark (synonyms.com). There are also a number of quest video games out there i.e.:Jewel Quest, Dargon Quest Vlll, etc.AND of course for trivia fans: Jonny Quest from that TV show of yesteryear..! (No "h" in the name)
something to keep in mind when searching. i always wonder about construction at certain parks to help me determine which park it might "not" be in. any thoughts?
Sorry to miss you all--had Wild Hockey tickets last night--Great Christmas gift. Love Hockey, myself. Part of being a Northener by birth, and a St. Paulite by choice.
Someone, somewhere asked where people were meeting tonight. I think last night people decided on Wild Tymes.
Also, on Tuesday night a group of people are gathering at the Bulldog in Lowertown to try the Belgian beer.
