1 1/2 hours to....oh yeah, it's over - til next year.
Was great to see some of y'all at Yarusso's....sorry we couldn't stay long, but being a school night, and living only about a mile from there....well, it's not the BEST area to leave the kids alone for long at night....
It was wonderful seeing everyone who made it to Yarusso's. Nice meeting the finders. I gave away my Cooler Crew button to the daughter. The dad already had one from someone else. They have been invited to the rehash bash on Sunday.
Mom - I forgot to give you the money tonight...and I need another button.
Steve from 1998 was there. Interesting fellow.
Tomorrow we start arranging our time differently. By Sunday when we rehash, it will be a bit sad that it's over, but will look forward to next year's hunt.
Thank you all for the pleasure of your company this hunting season. It was my delectation to meet so many of you, and I look forward to another season soon.
Please accept my taunts as an affirmation of my deep respect for the talents and knowledge of all of you.
Until the puck is dropped, the challenge waged and the clues commence again, stay well!
2009 Medallion Hide Coordinates N 44 57.575 W 93 04.600
Grabbed last night before Yarusso's. It was dusk, pic's are pretty poor.
First pic shows "rivlet" and southeast side of the tree with the fee.
Second pic is a better landmark, seen from the trail.
Third pic is the view from the better landmark.
As I was walking out to site of the prize, I ran into "Dave" and asked if he had found it yet. He walked me back down there and explained his interpretation of the scene of the crime. Classic CSI without the bloodstains, black lights, computer generated holograms and flash backs that give me nausea. As I headed back, I ran into another hunter and lead him back to the position of our predicament. I found "the" stick and reenacted the discovery. Six more hunters were on the trail by the spring. I hollared from the hollow, "Over here!" and reenacted the Show again, then held out "the" stick and asked if they wanted to touch it. They all reached out and grabbed it. I told them, "That's as close as your ever gonna get to it." and sold the stick to the highest bidder. I got five bucks! Economy must be turning around. :goofy:
And if anyone has a photo of us all eating, we should see if we can get it to the owner so she can post it in the photos on the site. They have all kinds of "Other crews" so why not the cooler crew?
Yeah, she is hot. I met her last night at Yarusso's. I told she would look my better in 3D, 3D, that's my apartment number!! Heyooo! Then she poured spaghetti sauce on my crotch and I left :goofy:
diggerous rex and I were by there(cat tails in the background)that morning.
Last wednesday looked around that area, Looked like a foot digger had been there, kicking around the bigger trees in the area. I wonder if they kicked it out and Reg tip it into creek?? You can see the slope from that tree towards the creek.
I was at the site this noon, laptop hunter put a stake in the stream at the spot. Nice to meet you Lap Top. Hope to see you at the spot next year with a big smile on my face.

She asked a few night ago for some pics.
After 10 minutes I moved on to the next tree becuase I figured this one was too close to the water...
All I had to do was look into the water :pbpt:
