"Well you see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."
Social networks: news organizations ignore them at their peril
On the heels of my post the other day on building social networks around news (in which I mentioned that more than 90 percent of newspapers still have no social networking in their business model) hereÂ’s some information from the Pew Internet and American Life Project that that makes it clear why, in largely ignoring social networking, the newspaper industry is missing the boat:

# And one reader pointed me to the history of CoolerCrew, an online community around the St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion Hunt, which began in the 1990s on the Pioneer Press forum site but migrated to its own website when the PiPress changed their board system — an illustration of the demand, and an opportunity lost, obviously.
If anybody has two tickets to the Vulcan Dance that they want to sell for $30.00 please give me a call at 651-485-8037. I just want to try to save some cash by getting them ahead of time rather than paying full price at the door.
who all is going to the parade? I want to go and bring the kids and if others are going I'd love to meet up with ya! PM me or call me if you have my number...Cuz there are just soooo many posts here your post might get lost among the throng hahaha

Having a birthday during the hunt must be kind of like being born on Christmas Day. It gets overlooked.

bad guys rock!
God save our gracious Vulc,
Long live our noble Vulc,
God save the Vulc:
Send him victorious,
To rid us of Boreas,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Vulc.
O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter his enemies,
And make them fall.
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all.
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On him be pleased to pour;
Long may he reign:
May he defend our thaws,
And ever give us cause
While Boreas sits and sulks
God save the Vulc.
party on, Wayne.

IN ALL MY GLORY!!!!!
Besides - good guys have a dark side too! :sheepish:
