All I know is that its in park and the band will be under the hockey tent.... but if I go - I would want to be up close and personal... us cats need that kind of attendtion once in a while!
A $500.00 cash prize is given to the person who can figure out the 15 clues. The Golden Star will be hidden within the city limits on public property. (NOT at Inver Wood Golf Course). It will not be buried, so do not dig for it! 5 Clues a day (15 Total) will be posted by 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 4-7th at City Hall and the Parks and Recreation Office. Contest ends 9:00 A.M. Monday September 8th, 2008. The Winner MUST own a 2008 Inver Grove Heights Days button. NOTE: the "Golden Star" is about 4" and says "Inver Grove Heights Days GOLDEN STAR" on it. Call 651-450-2585 if you find the star. Call the Hotline, 651-450-2489 for updates.
Thanks to CM for picking the park! Finding it so quickly was such a fluke, I just have to believe it was meant to be...
Ironically, the reason I went the way I did (and found the star) was to go check on him and make sure he was sitting at the picnic bench that he was supposed to be waiting at (of course, he wasn't there) :eyeroll:
EP coffeeshop wants to get you out treasure hunting
By Karla Wennerstrom
Sheldon Smith was the second depot agent in Eden Prairie. He built the red brick house with white trim which is now home to Eden PrairieÂ’s Dunn Bros.
“Legend” has it that as he was working on the house, 132 years ago,
he lost a wrench.
Can you find it?
Ann Schuster, franchise owner of Eden PrairieÂ’s West Dunn Bros. said the lucky treasure hunter who finds Sheldon SmithÂ’s rusty wrench will receive a $150 gift card to the coffee shop.
“I was thinking about what we could do to create some excitement in the winter,” Schuster said. She said January is a difficult month in the coffee business. She and her staff came up with an idea for the treasure hunt.
The Dunn Bros. at the Smith-Douglas-More House is partnering with the city of Eden Prairie in the hunt, which is set to begin with clues posted in the coffeeshop on Feb. 1. A clue is to be posted at the Eden Prairie Road Dunn Bros. every day at 4 p.m.

Vadnais Heights Heritage Days Medallion Hunt
$200 cash prize Hotline 651-204-6017
8/11/2008 - Medallion Hunt Clue #1
Once upon a time in the City of Vadnais Heights,
Dwelled a medallion with a prize so right.
Within the town boundries upon public land
The treasure is hidden so find it if you can.
8/12/2008 - Medallion Hunt Clue #2
The medallion lies nestled in a place so serene
No playgrounds or sports fields are to be seen.
The prize is surrounded by nature and trees so tall
It peacefully waits to be found before the leaves fall.
8/13/2008 - Medallion Hunt Clue #3
The way to arrive at the medallion's abode
Is neither a lane, street, avenue nor road.
Start at Petula Clark's destination then southwest you'll range
On the city's namesake but watch for the name change.
8/14/2008 - Medallion Hunt Clue #4
Shimmering water greets you at the entrance door
With houses all around that most would adore.
Once you're inside take a long look around
The medallion is lying in wait to be found.
8/15/2008 - Medallion Hunt Clue #5
The quest for the medallion requires neither shovel nor rake
A set of garden gloves and a little work is all that it takes.
Hidden in a small box that smells ever so sweet
Under the foilage is where you will meet.
so it musta been found by now
If its just simply being on the radio, that would still kinda be cool....
clue 2 the bleatchers By Channel 5 (AKA) BFG's Favret spot to chuck
clue 3 is the dairy barn!!
clue 4 the Makret down the back alley for the DNR where everyone thinks the beer grading is!! It is right across the alley from the Polltry barn!!
LOL Dont ask how I know all of them!! :eyeroll:   :eyeroll:
I got my ways!! and I am keeping them to my self!!

Is there going to be a conference call? That was fun!
Mad_Dach5und here, any y'all Coolers home on the Swe'Holler Net? c'mon back!
I think I'm ready for another conference call...
Mrs Brassmonkey loves Dunn Bros. I think Tim has the right idea.
Sheldon's wrench is now lost in a park on the prairie.
Eden is sure, the place for your query.
The hunt is now launched for your pleasure today.
Come hunt for the wrench where we all play.
