What irritates you?

Submitted by ares on

somthing irking you? pissing you off? rant about it here.

Love4Vino

irritates: 1) brusied ribs and upper arm thanks to a soccerball being kicked at me by some guy with a really good solid kick and fast follow up, because he kicked it, it bounced off - and then he kicked it again (and it bounced off) it took my breath away.

2) being threatened by someone playing on another team - she shoved me and told me if I elbowed her again, she'd break my arm... i said, go ahead and try granny, i'm younger and i'll heal faster.

(there was sweet justice tho) about a second after this, I scored.

Not a bad night with bruised ribs. I just wish I could lay down flat and sleep...

So... I know I posted in another thread, around here back around x-mas time - our problems with Comcast...

Enough so, that at the time, we switched to Qwest - something I swore I'd never do...

Well....

we got a bill TODAY, after not being with Comcast, since then, for $3.18.

They miss us so much, they're sending us bills, to try to win us back!

I called, and nobody seems to know wtf is going on, or why we're being charged.... just that we are, and "you need to pay it, or else..."

yeah... good luck with that...

Well COMO PARK girls are hip

I really dig those styles they wear

And the DOWNTOWN girls with the way they talk

They knock me out when I'm down there

The GREATER EAST SIDE's daughters really make you feel alright

And the NORTHERN girls with the way they kiss

They keep their boyfriends warm at night

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

I wish they all could be MEDALLION girls

The west side has the Highlands

And the girls all get so tanned

"I dig" a one piece snow suit, makin' snow angels

Dolls by a pine tree in the snow

I been all around this great big world

And I seen all kinds of girls

Yeah, but I couldn't wait to get back to St. Paul

Back to the cutest girls in the world

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

I wish they all could be MEDALLION girls

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

(girls, girls, girls yeah "I dig" the)

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

(girls, girls, girls yeah "I dig" the)

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

(girls, girls, girls yeah "I dig" the)

I wish they all could be MEDALLION

(girls, girls, girls yeah "I dig" the)

All these peanut recalls and why is it taking so long.

First they said it was only institutions that were affected, now everyday new products are being added. 2 days ago I had to throw out some caramel clusters we got as a Christmas gift and today I get a letter from Costco that the baklava tray I brought to my work potluck is also recalled.

Uh- in the days of computer records shouldn't a complete list of products been available in a couple of days rather than this be dragging on for weeks on ends?

We got a letter from Sams club about some crackers we bought for Pennys Grandmother. Shes 91. We called to tell her and she told us how good they were and that she gave them to all her friends to share. We finally called her sister to go over there and throw them away. Thank GOD she didn't get sick...

soooo, similar .....

I called Quest on Jan 6th and paid them in full through Feb 24th. I wanted them to close the acount on Feb 24th but they can only put a request for shut off in within 30days of the shutoff date. sooooo, I call yesterday to put the shut off notice in only to find out that there is a balance on the account for $1.72!!!! Get this: Quest raised the bill $1.00 beginning Feb 1st. $14.99 to $15.99! uuuuuuhhhhh!!!! looks like 72 cents in fees. The woman didnt want me to pay the $1.72 until I get the final bill after the 24th incase there were other charges added, like a 411 call or something. yeah right. what else are they gonna add. I told her there better not be a late fee attached for paying after Feb 15. oh no, she says when an account has a disconnect notice than there wont be a late fee attatched and she would make note on the account. OMG! uuuuuhhhh! I said I was paying with my visa so they would be charged the 35 cents and 3 percent on the $1.72 for goodness sakes!

I had a similar situation with Earthlink:

They add $1 for paper billing and $1 for non-automated billing. Total $2.

Cancel service. Earthlink sends $0 billing for monthly service with the $2 charge.

Next month......No bill for service, but the $2 is now overdue. $2 charge for the bill sent. Now owe $4. It is a never ending cycle.

trying to download a ringtone on my new phone and wasting 40 minutes. Every time (after the minutes were deducted), the thing would time out and lose the conection. I sent an e-mail to customer service asking for the 40 minutes back.

Nick have you tried getting a job at these quick oil change places?

My bro-in-law did that when he was going to school and he made decent dough doing something relatively easy -- dirty but easy.

The only other suggestion is going to barber school... the one part of the retail business that still does well in bad times.... hair salons and barber shops.

Oil changing is way easy. You can do it.

I am sure you'd be trained the way they want it done.

Swift will train you (well they used to - check on it) by sending you to the Rosemount Tech school, 6 weeks of paid training, then you are in your own truck. If I had a cleaner driving record a few years ago, I would have done that instead of what I do now.

After 6 months, you can leave and not owe them for the schooling, quit, and go somewhere else and get better pay and a better route.

How about driving a limo... I did that for awhile as a part time gig when I was in college. Hours can be really wierd, was on call but did get to see some cool stuff, and boy to people do strange things in a limo. Always brought a smile to my face when I came to a stop, but the limo was still rockin'...
