somthing irking you? pissing you off? rant about it here.

looking for work online.... type in assistant manager for st paul in to a search engine to find FLUKELY Ecolab hiring for my title in the downtown location!!! slightly different but most of the work is the same. different department. just went up yesterday! They couldn't have just said we have a possible opening and I could inner company interview for the position! instead they lay off the masses. :frown: I'm putting my application in for it anyhow. grrrrr
If you change your mind I can recommend a really good used place on White Bear Avenue...Our dryer gave up the ghost a few days before Christmas. Originally had paid for a used one somewhere else and had nothing but trouble. Out of desperation, stopped by this place http://www.affordableappliances.net/1619460.html
the snowy night before new year's eve.
They delivered the very next morning. AND they hauled the crappy one upstairs for the other place to come pick up! They offer a 90 day warranty on the super cheap ones (around $100+), and a year on a little more expensive ones ($200+).
Their website isn't much, seems to be just a younger couple running the place, and they're good people, as far as I can tell.
people are IDIOTS! I swear! to the SIMPLE things in life!
.... on LiveCNN right now.. they are giving Keys to the city of New York to the flight crew of the plane that went in to the Hudson River. The woman holds the box up with the key at an angle that you cannot see it so the guy tells her to tilt it and she puts her finger over the top of the key for aweful photos! HELLO, I get she's nervous but damn take your finger off the key and hold the box!
I'm in such an anal mood today!!!!
she's not the only one, another woman and now a man flight attendant are touching the key while holding the box up. grrrrrrr
The pilot though - SULLY - he is holding the box correctly. We can see the key! nice.
I think you need to get some traction under those spinning wheels of yours - the truck is starting to leave the road...
Kinda reminds me of "Mr. Mom" - how Michael Keaton watches soaps for the first time and smirks and laughs it off - the next scene he is enthralled with the show and actually starts arguing with the TV.
We've got a couple people that want to 'plan' the evening before the 20th Reunion picnic to go out to the local hometown bar for drinks. THEY'RE GOING TO DO THAT ANYWAY! Who the hell needs to announce the 'plan' to drink on Friday night?
These morons sent out a broadcast e-mail already to half the class stating such 'plans'.
Makes me wonder if evolution really happens, or it's just a theory...
Craigslist has oodles of older washers that people sell when they get new ones, usually for under $100. I just looked there and there were six different ones that as long as you're not proud of what it looks like would clean clothes just fine.
I set it up for the washer and the dishwasher cause I just have a feeling with the dishwasher...its not cleaning like it used to - agrivating
I swear - what is this black cloud? except for my health and my childrens health I feel like Job.
I heard a large dragging noise so I turn the tv down to hear something on the front porch - I go out there and it's as if someone flushed a toilet and it was flooding through the ceiling! it wasn't even raining out yet. I think some snow shifted up there and the melted snow came flooding through. I can't handle anymore.
Or couldn't handle without the help of some friends. I know I would have fallen off this planet a few times if it weren't for the great support of the many wonderful people in this clubhouse of ours.
Prom Dresses - Check out Glitz at MOA. Was able to get a deal on a dress there last year for daughter and homecoming. Some were really spendy, but she picked one on sale at a huge discount (dad was really happy). Did need to get some alteration done, but saved a boat load on that one. Whew - now if I can get her to do that again this year for her prom...
A wedding dress is the only dress that I can imagine spending money on, but even then I had a budget of $500 and got it for $150... I can't even begin to think about paying more than that on any other dress.. especially prom...
Thank god I don't have to think about this for another 12 years!!
Try unscrewing the center plastic ring on the sprayer arm of your dishwasher and removing it. Its probly packed with stuff and blocking the spray holes. May work wonders...
Sad to hear about your roof. Better check and make sure theres not a hole or something up there.
Macy's, Nordstroms and Bloomingdales at the MOA have clearance racks with cute prom type dresses. Don't the girls wear more of an evening dress these days anyway? Here's an example of junior dresses at Macy's. A lot of these are under $100.
Doesn't running a dishwasher wash cycle naked with a bunch of Vinegar in it help break down a lot of crud?
Also, about 90% of the time when I had 'stuff' in the dishwasher - it was Malt-O-Meal or oatmeal stuck to the inner 'roof' of the washer that had to be scraped off. You almost had to stick your whole head in the washer to see it.
there is at least one big hole in the roof - got squirrels in the attic a couple weeks back. With the help of a friend we've been trapping them one by one. I never thought they could be so noisey and mischievious. thanks about the dishwasher, I will check that out.
they wear short dresses to the valentines snow days
but formal still to prom.
we tried all of those. Nordstroms/Bloomingdales didn't even have their prom dresses out yet. They wait til after snow days. and Macy's had 4 prom dresses on one rack - probably for the same reason-they arn't out yet.
So we will try them again but so far nothing beats the dress of her dreams. The taffeta changes colors from light blue to lavendar depending on her sway.
you are all wonderful to help. The 2nd runner up dress so far was $170.
job hunting and other stuff in this economy
I wanna watch COPS and AMW!!!
need a new washer now. lets see... prom dress? washing machine?
each one is 400 a piece easy. :frown:
I could go used but afraid of it breaking down again.

I will check them out. I know theres a place on University too thats popular - I'll check them both out.
I bought a few things from here in years past:
http://www.appliancedepot.com/appliances/sales/index.cfm
New, used, scratch & dent... Covers all bases
cheap. I got a refrigerator here for $125. I am sure we paid less for a washer (used)

You sure it's toast? Did you check the windings? Or is it grinding? Might be something simple.

as I've gotten older I get more grossed out at laundry mat...
might also be the machine's tranny.
<-- is also glad he has minnegasco's service plus. free repairs save a lot of money on new appliances

It is the motor and it's $160 part.
sigh
thought it may be a $6 agitator part :frown:
no such luck
I was in the So St Paul Stock Exchange a couple weeks ago and thats one helluva plce to have a gettogether.
I really wanted the plan for that.
I set it up for the washer and the dishwasher cause I just have a feeling with the dishwasher...its not cleaning like it used to - agrivating

Just remember, for every train that tries to run you down...
There's a couple buddies in here that think its cool you just did the Train Dodge of the Century!
Thank god I don't have to think about this for another 12 years!!

Hang in there, things will get better.

I found it online at 10 different places for $398.(no ship charge)
just trying to bring myself to order it.
Glad to know Im not the only one who has had prom sticker shock, I guess I knew it was coming. thanks jrest
the rules say that the girl needs to go to her councelor and tell them they can't afford a dress. That sucks. how scarey and hard to do.
