i'm all into the paranomal, cryptozoology, psychics... I really believe in that kind of stuff. I am not scared of any of it, just find it fascinating. I LOVR Ghost Hunters- I dvr all of them. I would love to go on a ghost hunt, my friend did a hunt at some sanitorium in Kentucky- he had some really cool experiences.

Now that I think about it, it's kinda funny that I am not scared of that- but I wouldn't step foot in a fake haunted house again (like @ the state fair, or spooky world). I don't like monsters and gore. You couldn't get me in a corn field either- "he wants you too, Malachai" ::shudder::

That's way to early for me. Can you wake me when it's over and let me know how it went?

Lots of interesting discussion today! Thanks for giving my mind even more reasons to be spinning into the wee hours . Guess it's no worse than the hunt clues to have rattling around in one's brain.

My mom was always really into the end days-book of Revelation stuff. I remember her saying we were in the end days 30 years ago, and thinking about the future, wondering why I'd want to plan to grow up, have a family, etc.

The world as we know it might end in 2012, or tomorrow. Best to be ready and take each day for the gift that it is, even if it doesn't always seem like it.

Drawing I guess is the end of the month - like the 28th out at Gabe's. Think I might wander out there to see what discin' revelers may be out there. Your e-mail is on the stub so that's probably how you'd find out if you won anything.

We have a lot in common...

I like all of that stuff too. But I love the fake stuff too. I love a good haunted house. Even the cheesy hayrides, if they put on a fun show.

I'd like to do a ghost hunt too. Like a good one. I don't see me running like they do on TV, but I am fairly certain that I may pee my pants or something a little.

That's why the 60's happened. All of the hippies said "what have I got to lose? Either the world is gonna end or I'm going to Vietnam"

That or there was just a lot of pent up frustration over 20 years of the crew cut.

I would have finished a 4 year degree. Even if I DIDN'T know what I wanted to do with it, at least I'd have it.

I STILL don't know what I want to do when I grow up, but I don't think it's payroll and accounting at a car dealership. I like my job, I just know I could do MORE.

When Dad lost his job a few years back, he went back to school, and when he was hired by GE, he had tuition reimbursement. I was jealous, and went so far as to take a degree-planning course. I thought I'd like to go into pharmacy, since I like medicine-type stuff, but then when I found out how many years I would have to invest, especially part time, it just didn't seem worth it.

I still think I would like to teach. Not sure what age, grade or subject....it's just such a great feeling with my own kids, when they "get it" - the light goes off and they're running with it!

I think I would have liked to be a nurse-midwife.

I like the teaching aspects of being a nurse, and especially liked teaching families about the care of their newborn babies.

Mom, have you ever thought about being a pharmacy tech? Some stores will start you out without being certified, and assist with the certification process. That might give you an idea how you like it, and - who knows - when your kids are older, pharmacy would be an awesome career to pursue!

I've thought about getting into home medical transcription, too. I noticed (in the stimulus plan) that modernizing medical records will be targeted - so perhaps this will be an area where jobs will be growing.

At this point in my life, I am hoping to not have to get back into staff nursing, although I'd consider hospice work again in the right setting.
