Thanks for all the well wishes friends! I am doing so much better. The pain was so intense before the surgery that this little 6" laceration is nothing!!
My brother in law has suffered a stroke and had had several open brain surgeries...unfortuntaly the one he had last Friday was greater than he could handle. Thank you for all you prayers...it will be a difficult couple weeks for us!
One of my co-workers' sons died in Iraq - I dunno any details yet, other than his helicopter was attacked as they were getting ready to take off. The emotional reactions vary widely between people at work - some here are in full-blown mourning - Obviously 'Mom' will not be back to work anytime soon - I didn't know her or her family very well so I guess I'm not impacted as much. War deaths always suck - he has two kids at home under age 4.
She got the news on Friday - I've been scanning the Net for anything like that - haven't seen it yet. Heck, I don't even know the soldiers' full name! Eric something... We may not hear about it in local news. He's from Texas - Mom is from Downsville, WI (south of Menomonie).
The YouTube video "PSA - Digital Conversion" is no longer available due to a copyright claim by 20th Century Fox. This was the hilarious video with the elderly lady attempting to hook up her converter box to her television. Bummer - glad I got to see it - but I was telling some friend about it at dinner and promised to send them the link - all I could send them was an apology.
Boos to 20th Century Fox for being such spoil sports!
Also I believe viral means it would spread via any additional venues on the internet (email, other video sites, torrents, newsgroups, peer to peer networks, etc). Things harder to control than the major players like youtube.
I remember the Star Wars dude explaining if enough people click on the "Digg It" icon for his video, it will get posted in too many locations for Fox to stop it. I still don't really get the "Digg it" application and really prefer to NOT know...
waking up and having parts of the body hurt or not work for no reason! my shoulder has been killing me since last week. Ive been taking codiene and extra strengh tylenol that masks it up to 75% pain for an hour at a time. I didn't do anything but wake up.
I think it's from taking sleeping pills and sleeping in the wrong postions. (no pun from the peant gallery). )(*^#$%^&*(
It's spring break so the building is empty, it so gray outside that the building itself is darker than normal and at 9:30 this morning it felt as though it was already 4:00 in the afternoon.... LONG DAY...
I thought we'd break even this year - usually we get 2 grand back. so technically it's like a 6 grand loss because I worked fulltime this year. whats the point?!
oh and if you havn't done your taxes yet? there are hardly any deductions for anything. I have to pay the government $1000 just because I have a 17 year old! :frown: - lost the deduction because she turned 17.
Hold on! A child is a dependent if she is under the age of 19 at the end of 2008, and under the age of 24 if a student. And did you check to see if you're eligible for the Earned Income Credit?
hhhey, wonder if we are looking for a thong in the hunt now. eeeeewe
