SueBee

Has it always been called a "treasure" hunt? I can't remember.

The rules say medallion, but I strongly suspect that it is inside of a treasure chest.

The medallion is inside of a treasure chest.

SueBee,

I think it will be in a treasure bank too.

SueBee

where is a good "place for gold?" - a mint? a bank (another bank referene)?

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:03 AM Permalink
Leah Logan

a good place to find gold is at the end of a rainbow- which is painted on the building at Palace along with a painting of the Ice castle.

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:12 AM Permalink
Leah Logan

Has anyone ever seen it?

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:12 AM Permalink
SueBee

Palace and what? I like that!

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:14 AM Permalink
SueBee

Is there a park or street with Rainbow in the name. Circular is meaningful too, obviously

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:15 AM Permalink
SueButt

Ok, I don't think I'll slog, so if I'm repeating SORRY...BANK ACCOUNT..how about just near a banking facility...or a steet with a banking term like name...OUT OF VEIW...could just mean way deep in the snow...

Palace is surrounded by Bay st., Jefferson Ave, Palace and View- which is also stated in clue #3.

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:18 AM Permalink
SueButt

Last year, in the beginning I got all excited about View St...Palace also has a horseshoe pit..

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:19 AM Permalink
SueBee

A palace could be a place for gold too, Leah. I like your thinking so far. Looks like a tiny park though.

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:21 AM Permalink
maureen hursey

What does the playground equipment look like at palace.

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:22 AM Permalink
SueButt

I just don't think that they would out and out give the street name this early...

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:22 AM Permalink
SueButt

It is modern..yellow and red? Great place for the kids...

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:23 AM Permalink
SueBee

they've done it before. A few years ago they gave the park away in clue #4. Also, when it was in Hidden Falls a few years back they gave a street name in clue 2 or 3

Palace has alot more grounds than Conway- it's pretty big and open- they have a large new playground that was redone about 5 years ago. Also as I mentioned before there is a mural on the north wall of the building that a girl scout troop painted that has a rainbow and the Carnival Ice Castle.

SueButt

Hey SueBee, do you think people might get us mixed up? Anyhow, my thought on that is that Palace really isn't a huge park like Como, but who knows...

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:25 AM Permalink
Leah Logan

Yeah but Newell and Conway aren't huge parks either SueButt

I just meant on out and out giving the street names this early

Stubborness. I always think, "hmmmmm how about Linwood this year?" And then I go and wander around there and try to make it fit. One year it will! :-)

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 10:42 AM Permalink
Leah Logan

I agree Lonehunter I always think Linwood or Palace- and you know I've been thinking the same places for the last 20 years - you'd think they would hide it there sometime

'mom'

Hello....

I am stuck at home. Was all ready to go into work hacking and coughing, but then it turned out that Emily was sick too. And she had my fever beat by almost a whole degree.

Had some good rest, and feeling some better. Might get Dad home this PM so I can at least earn half a day's pay.

I've got a couple thoughts, but they're pretty far fetched and I still need to check 'em out on the maps. BBIAW.

SueButt, you mention horseshoe pits, could the horseshoe pits go along with the GOOD LUCK that was spelled out in the first clue. Horseshoes can mean good luck. You might be on to something there.

Tue, 01/23/2001 - 11:02 AM Permalink
SueButt

I wouldn't rule it out, and I think that on Jefferson there is some sort of ViKING (thinKING) place, but I can't remember...KINGs live in palaces...Giving the street this early in a smaller park is throwing me...

Hello All! In reference to Annette B 12326...What about the Gold Medal Flour view. The light did not work for some twenty years and this year they repaired it, was a big article in PP recently.
