For anyone considering starting or growing a consulting business, Life Science Alley is sponsoring a two-hour program on June 18 in New Brighton. Life Science Alley focuses on medical device manufacturing, but the nature of the program sounds like this might be good information for a broader application.
it didn't matter if it rhymed or not in this case- he had a blast doing it.
He figured out the harder clues easier than the easy ones.
His sister went with him and she figured out the easier clues- she saw the CLUE and GAME (did I mention I underlined the words?!-this had to be extremely easy)
interesting view for me to see 2 people figure out clues - one getting the harder more vague and NOT getting the super easy as the other grasps the easy and not the difficult. kinda like solving math problems in school.... teachers teach a certain way but a student may be frustrated because they learn a different way and find it difficult where if they had a different teacher or taught a different way they may find it quite easy.

Ok I know a ton of you dont watch what I post but this IS KOOL!!! and should be watched by all!! if you like the Beatles then you will like this!!! I am not a Fan of the Beatles so If I like it it has to be good!!!!!
HaHa - I'm in the office. But I'm sure it's pretty scarce out in the field today. Especially when they can use the swine flu thing to work for them. It's prolly all a plan just so our Mexican friends can get today off.
I tried to use my KFC coupon today in Eagan and was told they won't honor it because of the demand. They didn't offer me anything else. They didn't have any problem selling chicken to all the other people though...
Now I hear they cancelled the deal and are offering something else.
Evidently after wasting one trip there I'm supposed to go there again, fill out a questionaire for another coupon that they will send in the mail sometime in the future. But hey, I get an extra pepsi....screw it, I'm boycotting them.
Hmm.. sounds like I'm going to have trouble getting a free meal out of this one...
I guess that old saying is correct. I'll try and give it a shot though sometime. Maybe they'll have a plan worked out. If not, this could be the largest backfire in promotional history, heh.
My mom had a problem too. The manager used the excuse that it was mother's day weekend and they couldn't honor the coupon. When the coupon clearly states that it's valid everyday until the 19th with the exception of Mother's Day.
What a joke.
I'm glad we got ours when we did. $10 free food. Wished we used all 10 that we printed off on that first day.
this whole thing though was an exercise in stupidity. it has nothing to do with the overwhelming response. it has to do with fraud. the coupon told clerks to scan the bar code before accepting the coupon. no one did. makes it easy to pass off photocopies of them.
Now I can warn the kids .... We are gonna try to use these coupons IF they do not accept them than we go to Arbys. (I was going to say Taco Bell but realized they are owned by the same company).
They aren't getting any $ from me- thats the POINT of the coupon for a person out of work.
I have staff at Bush Children's Center and was over there - got a free lunch - and I only wish I had realized who he was when I was still there. It was later the light dawned.
I saw a pretty bad accident on 494 and Concord tonight around 7:30. A semi was upside down on top of a guard rail and another smaller truck was horizontal on the highway a little way up the highway. I saw car that had been damaged too. There were four firetrucks and several ambulances. Another firetruck was tuck in the backed up traffic near the 5th Avenue overpass. It didn't look good.
so sarah says "that" and I look at the tv and its a commercial with a guy talking (australian accent). He says because of overwhelming response and America loves kfc grilled chicken that they cannot honor the coupon and that it needs to be sent back for another coupon postmarked by May 19th. I cant believe there was a commercial for it!
Does anyone know any basics of using Travel Manager Automated Systems? Me2 needs to know some basics to be able to rank herself higher on a job application questionnaire. ty
Since I haven't found a job yet, I'm headed out on the road for a while (starting around the end of the week). I probably won't get much time to post, as I'm sure my internet access will be prioritized and a precious commodity.
Hopefully I get some good leads on jobs soon though, I'm ok for a few months before I really start hurting for money. But as usual, the sooner, the better.
If anyone hears of anything, let me know, probably PMs would be best so I don't have to slog, or Facebook would also be a good option.
Riding along with a trucker, I don't think there'll be a lot of time for sight seeing, but, at least it gets me out of my roommates hair for a bit. Plus I'm getting a bit stir crazy sitting around the house.

KFC scrambles to recover from Oprah coupon PR nightmare

I'm glad we got ours when we did. $10 free food. Wished we used all 10 that we printed off on that first day.
well..... you could send in the four you were entitled to print off on the first day and get 4 future use coupons.
I gave J 3 of my other ones.
but they are selling a lot of food because people are hungry
maybe that was part of the plan originally? a bait and switch?
Now I can warn the kids .... We are gonna try to use these coupons IF they do not accept them than we go to Arbys. (I was going to say Taco Bell but realized they are owned by the same company).
They aren't getting any $ from me- thats the POINT of the coupon for a person out of work.
