I had the same thing happen to me at McDonalds with a quarter pounder. If you want one without cheese you have to order a "quarter pounder with cheese without cheese". It even shows that on the reciept. "Plain quarter pounder" has no ketchup, pickle etc.

F'n morons I tell ya.

No 3M we're #1 thank you very much. And we also manage all 4 buildings in that shot. How deceiving. Plus I've never even heard of them. They must specialize in schools since we don't do many other than Hamline and a few others.

I'm gonna ask about them at work on Monday. I always thought it was us Harvard and Marsden for this region. Even A1 was in the top 5. It might be worth a look see for me.

HEH - I'm thinking arby's... Go there for lunch sometimes. They goofed up a to go order a couple weeks ago and I did not notice until I got to work. Ate some potato bite things instead of japelano bites. Well the next week, when I went in they recognized me, remembered they goofed up and offered up free japelano bites, heck I had forgotten about it... That will keep me going back.

Got back from DC on Saturday evening. Spent most of the week in subways, the top deck of tour buses, and jet planes. All that swaying has got me a little off kilter. Flying in jets is something I'll never get used to - I feel like I still need my land legs back. :barf:

Thanks CM and me2. Yeah, the dreams are a mixed bag. I was holding Frodo in my arms. It was so real - I could feel the exact texture of his fur, and we were so happy to see each other. George was being elusive, as he sometimes is in my dreams, other times not. This far out, it pretty much is what it is, but I was a little surprised it took me a bit to shake that dream off and get my day started.

None too soon, either.

On the 2nd day of walking; my heels started hurting mid afternoon. By evening they hurt like hell. Got back to the hotel and found out the athletic padded insoles inside the shoes (which I had been wearing to work every day for weeks) cracked lengthwise up the middle like a knife had sliced them in two. Even after 16 hour days hiking at the state fair I never had something like that happen before.

(edited for Me2 and anyone else who is trying to imagine a Dachshund in heels) :pbpt:

Here's my newest set of comfortable high heels. You should give them a try MD. They say they provide a relaxing fit for all types of feet. Even paws.

Fri, 05/15/2009 - 10:08 AM Permalink

Just the opposite. Everyone seems to be moving at regular speed but I'm locked in at 0mph. Every time you look at the clock it's only moved a couple of clicks.

There are plenty of times where that would be an ideal setting. Just not at work and with work people.

Hopefully I can readjust this to work in my favor over the weekend.

Getting an e-mail welcoming me to the Susan G. Komen foundation, when I didn't sign up there.

I called their phone number. The man I talked to said it was the fourth such call he'd received in the past hour.

He was getting concerned and transferred me to their headquarters.

The woman who answered was completely obtuse. She had NO concerns that someone might be spamming people. The fact that I could not get to their unsubscribe page didn't concern her either, since she has received other unsubscribe e-mails so that means it is working correctly (in her assessment).

She did take my e-mail address to remove me from their list, but would not concede that the problem was anything more than that I probably signed up and forgot I'd done it. Well, then why was this the first e-mail ever? Why did it say "Welcome..."? Why are others getting the same thing and it looking suspicious enough that they took the time to call?

But, oh no - there's not a problem.

I made her promise to pass the information along to their computer people.

hmmm than I dont know.

check this out. I got an e-mail from Summit Brewing Co.

Help us fight an unfair tax on your beer.

Dear Friends and Family of Summit Brewing:

Did you know that 40% of the retail price you pay for beer in Minnesota is tax? Or that beverage taxes in Minnesota are already much higher than those in Wisconsin, Iowa and the Dakotas? As hard as this may be to swallow, the Minnesota Legislature is now trying to increase excise and retail taxes on beer and other alcoholic beverages.

Legislators are calling this a "dime a drink" tax, but the truth is a bit more complicated. It really amounts to a 144% excise tax increase and a doubling of the retail tax you pay. So if you think beer lovers are already paying more than their fair share of taxes, now's the time to make your voice heard.
