Sorry I missed the get-together this weekend: last-minute wrangling of classmates for our 20th Reunion held a slightly higher priority.
There's a brief window of time between when they meet and chat incessantly about the past, and when they are too drunk to care. If you are not there planning for that magical 1/2 hour - absolutely nothing will get done.
I think we squeaked by with enough plans to keep it from spiraling out of control. We'll see what happens next weekend.
Saw the Saints beat the Saltdogs last night - drove under Hwy 280 to watch the Aquatennial fireworks after the game - sorry no pix - I don't think the camera phone would've done them justice.

Thanks to all for the congrats! Sydney and mom are doing great! Sleep is at a premium, as is expected, but all and all things are going quite well. I got more pictures up on my facebook page (my real name being Tom Gahler for those who didn't know).
I'm bummed I missed the festivities this past Friday. Sydney was in one of her moods that night so I couldn't abandon mommy to go drink (well I could, but I'd like to sleep in my bed and not the garage when I got home). Hopefully next get together I'll make it out.

thats Aug 6th I think. I have plans that night but I know I need a can opener - mine sucks!!! bought it at Rainbow last month and I can't turn it. and I know cluey needs a baking stone - need to see a book.
I HIGHLY suggest...you havn't cooked/baked til you have cooked/baked with a baking stone! Get one from Kathy! and those $1.75 scrappers!!!! I MUST in every kitchen!!!!
Are you familar wit the PC can opener? It is really neat. It opens BELOW the seal so it does not contaminate the ingrediants when it is opening and NO sharp edges, a PC exclusive! $17.5 with two year guarantee.

I don't do rags/dish towels - I want the crud off NOW - I'm an impatient dishwasher. And something most didn't know about me.... it's mostly due to my back. If I lean over the sink, my back gets tight and hurts (similar to when it tightens from the cold weather). So I end up gritting my teeth and become aggitated - you don't really want to be around me if I have to hand wash dishes. So I become impatient.
Let's get together (lunch?) or cold beer ... I need a beer TODAY! I am thirsty...How about a bar over on 7th? What is that irish one - past Patrick McGoverns????

Hey just so everyone knows, I will be going out of town tomorrow for a week in DC, then a few days in New York city and possibly Boston. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures this time!

you can watch the dishes all you want. i prefer to wash them in a dishwasher.
