lying, conniving people who try to cheat the system so they don't have to work.

backstabbing friends

people who are so miserable with themselves, that they have to put others down to make themselves feel better.

ignorance

stupidity

and well, nearly everyone i've come in contact with today.

Pioneer Press today

front page had a huge advertisement cover. It was bad enough that the employment, home buying and comics on Sundays have that Comcast one page cover to open to get to the insert BUT NOW THE FRONT PAGE!?

HEH - Probably a good thing... They made some pretty expensive decisions without looking at project costs... Think they "picked" who they liked. Turns out they picked the highest priced option...

Watching the person you care about become so emotionally drained thanks to divorce court.

Yesterday he won all his motions to keep the kids at their private school in their advanced programs (which he pays 100% for) as well as keeping custody at 50% -- although he now has to pay her an additional $262 a month which totally sucks because he doesn't have that she already gets $400 more a month than he does from his check.

The upside? they have court on Thursday, which may actually change the payments again - and drop them by about $800 a month, since she is in a homemaker/companion relationship which CA courts figure...

crossing fingers, he's a good dad, and did what is best for his kids, and I'm proud of him.

Fingers are crossed for him... Just and FYI, I went to bat for my daughter several years ago, and lost. Then went to court again when the ex wanted to move out of state, I lost again. Judge said he recognized good parenting, but had to rule in favor of the mother... MN rules suck, but anyway...

Daughter realized a couple years ago she wanted to move back to MN and finish highschool here... Just about ended up in court over that one, but mom realized it was a no win situation. Daughter graduated from HS here, and this week I will be bringing her up north for her first year as a freshman in college...

So, where I am heading with all this is it might take some time, but the kids will see what there parents do, will know they are loved, and that we will look out for thier best interest... Kids are pretty smart, and see what is going on around them....

Good luck!!!

mn law has changed on that. now days the person doing the moving has to prove that its in the child's best interest to move out of state.

Having a car that's not eligible for Cash for Clunkers... it expires on Monday.

Got a 2001 Saturn with 165,000+ on it..

Kinda likes: Have two car payments left as of yesterday. I really stretched out financing to keep the monthly payments extra cheap. I could've paid it off six months ago, but I didn't know if I still had a job, and the interest remaining is just a sliver of the payment anyway.

I'm thinking of getting one when I have to trade in my Camry... red Avenger. nnnnice looking. But now that my car is coming due on mileage I am finally getting comfortable with it.

I would do some Research on your Avenger! and look at the fact that Dodge is About to Shut its Doors!! for Good Stay with the Camry or A Honda!! I will never buy a US car again until they start doing stuff like Honda and Toyota!!

Have you looked At Mikey's Truck!! that thing is SWEET!!!

I have yet to see anything I didnt like about it!!

I am sure if I owned it I mite find something!!

but from what Mike says it is GREAT!!!

and Got a good Deal from a good Guy that we all know!! so it is a win win the way I look at it!!

Dodge cars SUCK!!!!

dodge is not about to shut its doors.

marchionne wants to get rid of the excess overlap between the brands. the dodge nitro/jeep liberty split is likely to have the nitro disappear. the avenger/sebring lines may be combined, along with the town&country/grand caravan lines. I have my doubts about the minivans, since the brands target distinct markets, but the overlaps between dodge and jeep in the suv market are huge. as far as i know the durango isn't the same basic truck as the grand cherokee, and no other chrysler brand makes pickups. so the likelihood of the dodge brand disappearing completely is slim to none. each of the chrysler brands targets a different audience, much like the 3 main ford brands (incidentally ford was planning on shutting down the mercury line about 8 years ago. that never materialized and isn't expected to), and very much unlike the 6 general motors brands of yore.

thanks for the words. it's surprising out here how many dad's actually get equal rights. The CA courts strive to give 50/50 and believe that kids have there right to be raised by both parents as equally as possible.

He actually came out great. Won every motion put out there - he maintained his days/hours, won the right to keep them at their private school (which he is paying for) and had the judge tell her that when he had the kids, he had the kids - and that if his mother (or a babysitter) comes to stay with the kids and he has to work/have an apt etc. She can't stand out front and call the cops and demand to have the children returned to her custoday. His time is his time. The judge also told her to get a job, and pay her own attorney fees.

The down side is, the court reassessed his wages based on the last half and he now owes 267 more a month in child support.

So the money sucks, but ultimately they ruled on what (in theory) should be best for the kids.

Actually I bought the truck before Chris worked there. He helped me out with pennys new civic. Shes on her first road trip. She figures she can go to Bayfield, Wi and on to Gilbert, MN for $25 in gas. Thing gets 36 mpg.

Mad_Dach5und

Even if I burn a whole tank driving uphill with the AC on at 80 miles an hour I'd probably still get over 25 MPG. There's a reason why that model Saturn does NOT come equipped with a tow hitch.

My great today was soured when I logged onto facebook this morning... My son's 20 year old friend died in his sleep yesterday, then learned that is was an overdose of something...

Mom then called to tell me of a letter she received Ramsey County looking for Tom, needs to pay a $380 traffic violation by September 18 or get DL suspended and face jail time with up to $3000 penalty.

UGH!

Sorry to hear of the OD. I wonder if it's the same friend of an employee of mine? Was OXY an issue? Did he get in a bad snowmobile accident last year? If so, I didn't know they got the results back from the autopsy yet. Then again, I'm not on Facebook so I don't know the latest.

Not sure of any of that.. he was in a car accident three/four years ago and messed up his back real bad, couple of surgeries then last year was in another accident... Last name is Carmack -

OD I believe is all speculation on Facebook...but do I do know that he was heavy on his pain meds while also drinking heavily and heavy smoking both legal and illegal.
