Spending 3 hours last night to Menards, then Target, then Walmart, then KMart, then Walgreens ...... to find the last set of multi colored 100 lights at KMart!
I need a set of 150 though :frown:
bought it anyhow and stretched it on the tree.
Everyone else were out!
at least my tree is complete .... amendment to follow.....
Loptop Crashed and could not get back to a tournament that I was Kicking the crap out of!!!! 26k in chips was chip leader fro the 3rd hand tell the computer crashed!!!
next closest Person in the Tournament had 11k in chips 19th place one out of MONEY!!!
at that point it was 4.25 I think but the Win was 108!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do the benefits of having a laptop outweigh the problems?
Seriously - everyone I know that has a 'crashed' or damaged computer - it's ALWAYS a laptop!
Why is it so hard to sit at a desk to do work anymore? The cost of buying all those accessories is getting obscene. The keyboard is an ergonomic nightmare, the damn batteries STILL don't last long enough, there's STILL that fire danger from overheating, they haven't made one yet that won't fry from spilling a Coke on the keyboard; I mean, really; do you think about all that when you buy these portable things?
My wife wants to get a Windows computer for herself; I'm fine with that. But I am just begging her to NOT get a laptop. She's got to use it at her desk anyway; why not just keep the computer UNDER the desk? Pretty soon you're whole identity will be just another online file you log into, so just bring along an iPod for storage and forget about the freakin laptop!
Well My big thing is I am in a one bedroom apt with 3 adults and no place for a computer for me to use! and it is my brothers laptop and Because of that I cant do anything to it with out his ok!! other wise this thing would be a million times better!! and thats all there is to that!!
the front porch ceiling has a leak - tore it all out/down yesterday and found all the water sitting in the plastic with all the insulation just soaking in it. :frown: what a mess. It turned in to a pretty emotional afternoon.
So sorry to hear about that! Hope the week improves as it goes along, but sounds like the porch mess could take awhile to get done. Hugs, me2 - stuff like this sucks to have to deal with.
still many bags of insulation to figure out how to dispose of - at least the wood panels can be burned in the firepit if needed. Some sheetrock still in a big pile. lots of insulation in the ceiling that has to go and more sheetrock....blah blah blah ....
Not sure how much stuff you have to get rid of, but you might be able to haul it to a demolition landfill. Only one I know of is the Dem-con Landfill down by Jordan, actually just off the interestion of 41 and 169 (Northwest corner of intersection) right behind / next to the Renissance Festival grounds. I have no idea what it would cost to dispose, or you could do little bits at a time in the garbage can each week?
suppose you could probably rent a roll-off dumpster too, they could drop one along the curb (maybe) and then you can fill it with all your construction debris. Depending upon size they are not all that expensive, the trick is getting it done relatively quickly, before all the knuckle-heads in the area spot the dumpster and start throwing all thier crap in it...
Good luck with the redo, and hope it all works out.
the other problem with roll-off's is that when they appear so do the city inspectors wondering where your building permit is. your trash bin in small quantities (it worked for us with the bathroom; of course we filled that sucker up and went to vegas  the old toilet however met its demise in the trash bin, with the business end of a sledge hammer) or a landfill is good. we took a van full of debris to the wast management landfill on hwy 13 and it cost us 50 bucks for the load. might wanna call 'em.
my doctor called in sick today. Luckily I got another doctor to take out my stitches but at a later time. Screwed up my whole day! Still gotta work at 2:45.
The scars on my arm are from rolling a car when I was 16 - whatever you call them, it ain't good - they remind me, to this day, 20+ years later, that Mom STILL doesn't trust my driving. - And I was the only one in the accident!
Drafting #7 of Ten teams tonight for Fantasy Football.
It's a league run by my wife's co-workers. Supposedly a couple weeks ago they picked names out of a hat during lunch break for draft order. In the last 6-7 years our team was #2 pick once and the rest were ALWAYS middle-of-the-pack order: 5-6-7-8. The commish and the ex-commish of the league pick 1 and 2 this year. I'm thinking of really making a stink about it tonight, but what can I do?
(In a 'serpentine' draft, it's actually better to pick 9th or 10th than picking 6th or 7th.)
irritates: harvest having a very slow start which means it's all gonna come together and we are going to have weeks of being just stuck with grapes coming in right and left.
my boyfriends mother. lets just say i am very thankful that she lives 2+ hours away, although I walked out midway thru his daughters birthday party cause I couldn't take her anymore.
nearly 100+ degrees coming up this week. It was 65 all summer it seemed and now that I can't enjoy it -it's hot.
Sometimes, but if the wind shifts a little the air comes in from over the ocean, which I am very close to, and it gets humid as hell... When I went to Qatar a few weeks ago, it was over 90% humidity here. In the desert!
we had rain, thunder and lighting this morning. crazy weather for us during harvest. heck crazy period for here, I think we are lucky to see thunder/lightning once a year here.
kinda humid and overcast now. stuck at work until 2 ish.. it's 10:30 and bored out of my mind.
and every e-mail I get I have to check out and it's usually a scam.

I've taken truck loads of construction debris there and have been charged a very reasonable price. ($15 to $50 depending on what's in the load)
Or inexperience?
