whys it say Vulcans 2006?
Wed, 09/16/2009 - 9:56 PM Permalink
katsmeow

Each Vulcan crewe still is expected to participate and continue to work on their "causes" for a period of 5 years.. at which point they can step down if they so choose...

So hence you may see events like this sponsored by past crewes (and why there are always a lot of vulcans in parades and stuff...

I don't know if anyone looking for jobs would be interested in this?

Good afternoon,

This may seem out of the blue but I wanted to reach out to you regarding 100+ positions that I have available. We are working exclusively with Wells Fargo and they are looking for people to fill data entry positions. This might not be your area of work however with these economic times we all know someone who needs a position. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

We have 70 positions open for 3rd shift. These individuals will be working from 12am-7am. Sunday-Thurs. It is paying $13/hr.

We have 30 positions open for 1st or 2nd shift. 7am-3:30pm and 3:30pm-11pm. These are paying $12/hr.

These individuals will be doing relatively monotonous work. They will need to have 10 key experience (working a cash register, heavy computer work etc). They will also need to be able to stand for up to 7hrs at a time.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get some experience with a great company. Plus the positions are anticipated to last up to 15 months.

Please call or email me with any questions.

Thank you,

Alicia Bettmann

That sounds more like one of those auditing services - like those bean counters that walk up and down the aisles at Cub Foods counting inventory. Technically it is 'data entry', but yeah, that does seem odd. Raise at least one red flag on that one.

Yeah, I thought that was weird, too. This company typically sends me e-mails about clinical and regulatory positions, so this was out of the blue anyway, but I thought I'd pass it along in case.

hey all, slogging away on my mobile phone (trying to catch up, data plan on my cell is cheaper than paying for an air card I didn't get much use out of anyway). Still out on the road trucking. Missing a lot of things at home this summer. Seen a lot of sites as I fly past them. Sleeping on the floor between the drivers seat and the sleeper.... good thing I don't have back problems. Delivered a load to a bedding mfg the other day, was tempted to ask if they could make me a tiny mattress so I'd get some padding. Oh also from the last time I found a scale, I'm down to 195 pounds..... Kind of ironic cosidering I see a lot of morbidly obese truck drivers... Gotta run, get some sleep while I can, just wanted to say hi and let everyone know I'm still alive. One good thing I've learned out here, I'll never complain about anything, ever again. Dead serious on that. take care all, sounds like I should be back near the end of october.... should be down another 10 pounds by then.

Oh, gods! THE SCREAMING SKULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've VIVID memories of seeing that on TV back about 1966-1968,

or 1969 and being scared TO DEATH! I was just a kid and had nitemares

FOREVER after.

What a blast from the past. I'd consider going but sounds too rambunctious,

campy and too RHPS for my taste. I do wish you a good turnout. Ice.

The family is expected to arrive between 1 and 3 p.m. today.

Sometime after the family's arrival, volunteers and spectators will shout the show's signature catch phrase, "Move that bus!" to reveal the new home to the Morris family for the first time. To participate in Friday's "reveal," spectators should arrive at the home at least two hours before the expected arrival of the family.

Food - check

Tent - check

Cook stove - check

Warm sleeping bag - check

Winter hat, gloves, boots and long underwear - check, check, check and check

This weekend with my son on his last camping trip as a Cub Scout will definitely be memorable - thank goodness I have winter friends who taught me how to keep the cell phone and camera warm so the batteries last longer!
