GREEN BAY, WI—Brett Favre beat the Green Bay Packers on Sunday for the second time this season, his decisive 38-26 victory exacting some small measure of revenge for the adulation and hero worship heaped upon him by the city of Green Bay and the entire state of Wisconsin for the better part of two decades. "It feels good to finally get retribution from the team that gave me my first chance to start, believed in me despite the pitfalls of my early career, and ensured I will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer," Favre said at a postgame press conference. "And to do it in front of those fans, who unconditionally loved me through thick and thin while I struggled with a Vicodin addiction and disastrous interceptions, just made it that much sweeter. Sixteen long years of devotion, and they're finally getting what they deserve." Favre mentioned that when he does retire, he is looking forward to "really sticking it" to the wife and daughters whose loving presence has been the one constant during his playing career.

Looks kinda ugly, but the other choices of prizes weren't much better in my opinion. I think I entered 3 or 4 codes online over the time of the promotion.
Hmm.. these next two weeks are going to be interesting. I have a two week contract job installing printers at 3M (Hey Diggin, wish I had time to stop by your office and say hello, but I don't get a badge, I have to be escorted everywhere :frown: ). Anyway, no computers or internet all day.
Oh well, pay is good and I'm sure tons of people don't get those perks at their jobs. Just gotta make more out of my limited time online.
Your neighbor who was POW in WWII and helped build the bridge featured in the movie, The Bridge Over the River Kwai.
He was watching the Memorial Day fireworks with you the year Melaleuca put on the show and I guess I remember him because at the time I was blown away that he was there watching those fireworks on Memorial Day and he just kind of represented what the day is really all about and what must have been going through his mind.
I vaguely recall that. I wonder if it is my neighbor Mike or someone who was visiting at my house and came to the bluffs with me. I don't remember my neighbor Mike being there. He is pretty quiet. hmmmmmmm. I don't think Mike is that old (late 50s-early 60s). The only person I think old enough for that is in his 80's but don't remember him coming to my house ever.
Stan is who I was thinking of that is in his 80's.
He is in a nursing home up past Duluth. My sister and her kids went to visit him 2 months ago. She tries to go see him every couple of months. He is always happy to see them but he doesn't really remember them :frown: he just doesn't remember things anymore. Stan is an awesome man! I got teary eyes just typing about him. It's wonderful you think nice things of him. This is one of those times where someone made such an impression on another and may never know that they are thought of. :frown:
First, of all, I am happy you are feeling better, me2! Your sister was giving updates on Facebook and I was really worried! Speaking of which... why aren't you on Facebook yet? =P
Also, it looks like the next couple days are going to be pretty nice, and I plan on playing disc Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if anyone is interested. I haven't been on here in a while to extend invitations but I play pretty much every day of the week other than Monday and Wednesday. Call me up.

Hey guys it's been a while since I've been here but I really need the crew... my dad was shot in the stomach last night as he was walking into his apartment. He's alert, but the shock has worn off and he's very emotional. It's a very trumatic time for my family and any prayers and positive thinking would be wonderful. Thanks guys. Email me any time @ nevensonmn@hotmail.com
OMG is that terrible news MM. I'm so so sorry about your dad. Where does he live? I sincerely hope he recovers from both the emotional and physical scars that happens with something like that. Nice to see you once again too. Just wish it were better times for you guys.
Something to keep in mind - Tonight - Wednesday before Thanksgiving - is considered the largest drinking night of the year in many places. You get four days to recover, why not?
OMG - so sorry to hear. Thoughts and prayers going out to him for a speedy and complete recovery. (((HUGS))) to you and the family as you stand by him in support and encouragment for his healing.
