if you know anyone with a plow, you could have them plow the street at 2am, and move her car several blocks away

That's a good idea, jREST, but I'd have to do it late at night. But here's the kicker. After the last snowfall she was a snowbird for two days and didn't get towed. Low and behold, I hear a loud motor outside on the second day and it's one of our city workers with a huge plow pushing the snow from in front and behind her car onto my snow bank and onto my shoveled sidewalk. How nice of them.

I got a snowbird ticket in the middle of a snowstorm once while my son had the cables attached jumping my dead battery. I told them I'd be out of there in just a few minutes and was told the plow was on its way already. Well, the plow never came. I paid that ticket under protest.

Yeah, I'm cranky. "GET OFF MY LAWN!" Going out to shovel now. Yes, she's still there.

my grandma always placed a sign on her snowbank - asking please don't park in front of walk way for elderly. thank you. Then if she does .... start shoveling the snow ON TO her windshield when you have to shovel a new path. OR shovel her car in! both the back and front as high as her car.

when I updated the stupid windows 7 it took original starter 7 programs off the laptop that I didn't know came with windows starter. I thought they were HP programs. I can't get them back. Some paint type program. And it deleted all my photos that I did load-thank goodness I didn't delete the card. It basically began my computer over.

We got reflective film that I can print on here at the office. It costs a bundle, but I could print a Handicapped parking sign pretty damn close to the real thing. We could 'stake' it in front of her car and see if the meter maids slip a $250 fine under her wiper blade, then pull it out after the cop leaves.

Get some of that bright utility marking paint and write "No Parking" on the snowbank.

don't you have a few son in laws who can come over and pick her car up and move it slighty 8 feet over to the left - drop it out in the middle of the road?

being alone in one of the coldest places on a day I should not be alone in one of the warmest.

Something fantastic was supposed to happen for me today. Of course its my own fault in the end for allowing cause and affect to get the better of me with no way to overcome it's clinching grip of emotional destruction no matter what I decided.

People can be so F'ing vidictive and destroy dreams just to make themselves feel better and have control of anothers well being - whats wrong with some of this F'ing human race?

Doesn't anyone want others to be happy? .....Diggins & CM do. theres two I know directly.

Just a reminder to everyone to STOP, get out of your daily bubble and look around once in a while and see how YOU affect anothers day, which could affect their entire life. Did you drag someone down today? or could you have made it better?

Make someones day today. Sometimes it's something simple... in my case it was something really big. :crying:

you don't get today back and there is no guarantee for tomorrow.

edited my last post - thank you Eags ...and Diggs for the invite out

sorry Eags, I'm not trying to be kryptic. Just it's not always nice to mention a name even if they are someone who literally goes out of their way to make someone elses life miserable. A couple notches down from Hitler a couple notches up from Bitch. And whats worse is she has to be cruel to another to get to me with out even knowing me just knowing something about my life.

Even though God is a forgiving God. She has decided that I have imperfections in my life and should be judged and damned for them. All about control and judgement.

I have to answer to my God to get in to Heaven not her. But she is determined to make a little Hell on Earth if she can get away with it when I should be in paradise with palm trees.

My dad used to go out, when someone parked in his spot in front of the sidewalk, and poured a beer can or two or three, filled with water, all over their windshield.

In our first house, the house next door did adult foster care. One of their adults always parked right in front of our house, right next to our driveway. The plows, in going around that car, left a mess out in the road that caused havoc with getting in and out of our driveway. After trying to reason with the couple that ran that foster home, we went out, cleaned all the snow from the street and around that car and carried it to their sidewalk and dumped it there. That car was never parked in front of our place again.

Oh, where to start.....

Missed morning alarm - work up 10 min before I should leave for work.

Got prepped in record time - backed out of the garage 2-3 min late (can make that up in the commute easy)...

Clipped the Mirror on the trash can curbie inside the garage door backing up - cold plastic shattered like glass everywhere.

Cursed a lot, picked the shards up tossed them in the curbie and clicked the button to close the garage door. It goes down. I pull away.

I looked behind in the good mirror to see if the door was closed - it wasn't.

Went back to see door track was twisted pretty severely from the impact of the trash can hitting it after shattering the mirror.

25 minutes of cursing, twisting and prying with a crowbar finally got the track straight enough to close - but it wouldn't. The motor would get a bit of resistance about 12" from being closed and constantly reverse itself. More cursing.

10 minutes of tweaking the motor resistance settings and some more crowbar use gets a semi-functional door closed.

Rest of the Day:

Getting a new power mirror for $150 from the dealer (tried salvage yards - nothing)

Buying a new 6 ft length of garage door track and mounts and try to do surgery in the frickin' cold this afternoon.

Happy Holidays.

Thanks Diggin - It would have been great if you read my post above mentioning to please not say anything about the show. We obviously didn't see that episode yet. Oh well. it's still fun to see how they edit the show when knowing the outcome anyway.

BTW - The Vikings barely win Sunday night against the Panthers 27-24

Getting home after my 1st 12 hour night 6pm to 6am and noticing my furnace isn't working.

Luckily I'm an hvac guy and know exactly whats wrong with it. But cant get the part for a while. Its on order but not sure how long I have to wait.

I should have shopped around before I paid for it. Now I gotta wait.

The bummer is the new furnace won't let me jumper the switch. It won't start if the switch is jumpered before it starts. I have to un jumper it to get it to try and start and then jumper it to start up. Problem is it only works for the one time and won't restart. Guess we'll be heating up really warm and hoping it lasts until I get home in the morning. At least I can warm up the house.

Hope the part gets here quick...

Rule number one during this holiday season... Get off the phone. I'll give you a pass if you're deciding which size of eggs the missus wants you to buy, and the like... but as you approach the cashier, get off the phone. You are about to conduct commerce. Conduct it with your utmost attention, sugarcakes can call you back! Save it for the interstate...

Express lanes serve a vital safety feature to the rest of society during this time of year, so give the "less Than.." sign the respect it deserves. If you have coupons that you know will require some negotiating skills, back off. Most stores have whole counters staffed with folks ready to blow that customer service smoke right where it belongs... not in my express lane!

The self checkout was not designed as a social experiment, it was for those of us who wanted to take the express lane to it's finest hour. If you do not know how to operate one, do not bring a full cart of groceries to learn. Baby steps. Oh, and get off the phone.

Merry Christmas!
