Getting a no host memory error when I try to post - and then sending an email to our hosts with the most and knowing they will have that fixed soon.
My son, as some of you know, is a park ranger with the Feds.
He was under a temporary work status for the past 4 years.
Today he found out he is being hired for basically his same position, but that position will become permanent. He beat out 125 other people who were also "qualified". He was sweating it as his Peace Corps points have expired and he doesn't have veteran status.
He offices elsewhere downtown, but does a good share of his work at the visitor center that shares space at the Science Museum. They do groups for ice fishing, canoeing trips, bird watching - all that stuff he loves.
He is a ranger with the full smokey the bear hat. Makes me laugh when I see him in that.
Last fall, during the time tpt was running the Ken Burns series on National Parks, there was a 30 minute separate production done locally that he got about 30 seconds time in...and he had to laugh. For all the intelligent things he said, the one thing that got the cut was for the types of fish found in the river.
I'm just glad that Smokey The Brian is there at that time because I'm sure he was needed shortly after that picture was taken being that babe standing next to him is SMOKIN!
Yes he is handsome TV - I'd be more than proud Grats to both of you
Brian is very handsome and a gentleman to boot. He took time out of his busy schedule to visit and accommodate me when I asked for a picture. I recognized him immediately from pictures Terry had posted on this site.
What location? The guy at the Fridley store had no personality. I think those workers need to be like liquor store workers where they have no reason to be down since everyone who comes in is always in a good mood. At least I am anyway. And they're usually both stopped at right after one another.
First thing I'm gonna do at that store is look behind the counter at how many of your mug shots are taped there with the word 'WARNING' above it in capital letters.
feeling dejavue
first bill I ever opened and NO stress engrossed me....
$58,577.51
my portion due? $129.66
wow. nice.
The other hospitals and doctors appts though are about 3to4 grand out of my pocket. :frown:

Also - I was referred to a tv show that is out of SF that reviews restaurants. They are looking for a co-host.
