East and West could be a nearby freeway as well. Depressed...Playing puts smile on face a playground in a depression in the ground, or lower ground than the park.

maureen, that is a great noodle. you can see the gold cross on top of St. Agnes! The our town reference to Wilder works too (Wilder foundation nearby). This has got potential.

Well, at least the on-line and paper versions match tonight...

Hi,

how about Highland - it is about as far West as you can get in St. Paul, and since most of the park is down near the river, the depression part of the clue would fit. Don't remember if there is a playground or not..

Gregor

Eastview Playground? East Shore Drive (Phalen?). Estabrook (Como)?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:03 AM Permalink
Map Guy

Erik..not Highland..but close.

Sorry, I meant Hidden Falls..

I was just about to go, but SueButt, excellent noodling, that has some good potential.

Number 27

I think this is so funny.....it is obvious where it is..and everyone keeps stumbling over their own feet...lol

Where do East Mississippi and West Mississippi Blvd meet? In St. Paul?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:10 AM Permalink
Regalman

What were the war references that were previously noodled?? Just a thought about Fort Snelling being across river from hidden.

#27, If it is so obvious, why don't you simply enlighten the rest of us?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:10 AM Permalink

Hey TreasureHunter'sGuide, I snuck a peek at pic #103, sorta on the same level as west minnehaha..

Birdie15

where do u think it is????

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:10 AM Permalink
TeddyKGB3

#27...I know what you said earlier for a park and I believe your right

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:11 AM Permalink
leelabell

West Minnehaha has lots of potential since one side road is called grotto (depression). Can we make any of the other clues fit?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:11 AM Permalink
Number 27

then you all would go there and then i could find it and win the 10k

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:11 AM Permalink
diggorius rex

east and west...94?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:11 AM Permalink

#27...do you have an MSN Instant Messenger? I have some questions I'd like to ask you...maybe some speculation also

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:14 AM Permalink
Snow Angel

Does anyone know if there is a county road I near any of the mentioned parks? Clue 3 could be reverencing that...

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:14 AM Permalink

I may have to start digging tomorrow! Thanks for the helping me think big Steve!

#27, you made compeling points for the sixth month (I will respect your wish), but how does it tie into this clue?

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:16 AM Permalink
Birdie15

that kicks ass brew man...you are on to somethin i think....

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:16 AM Permalink
Regalman

The east side of Phalen is in St. paul, the west is in maplewood. St. Paul is the proper place, oh and wouldn't the "Arcade" put a smile on your face?? May be too early for streets, doubt they'd refer, but then again think of Newell.

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:18 AM Permalink
DaBrewMan

This I think is telling us it may be on the East Side of St. Paul

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:18 AM Permalink
EricK

This might be too much of a stretch, but Hidden Falls could also be considered the East side of the Mississippi & the West side of St. Paul, hence the 'East AND West' in the clue.

Wed, 01/24/2001 - 12:19 AM Permalink
Regalman

I got directions backwards in post, st.paul west, maplewood east.

If I had to choose a park at this point, it would be more than likely Phalen Park. Look for an area that is 'fenced in' the med will be 'buried' in a snowbank wrapped in a TCF deposit envelope

Good night everyone. Sleep tight, and save your energy. Don't get in your car yet. Think PILLOW, PILLOW, PILLOW. See you in the park in a couple of days.

figured out tonights clue, theirs a hill at the park (west or east is the bottom of the hill), leaving you depressed (meaning the bottom), makes you smile. so what park has a hill going east and west, hmm, battle creek maybe, GREEN
