Alice, a rec center though.....who the heck knows where those are. One would think it's gotta be in a Park like every other year. Right? I guess we'll find out in a few days or so.
Beth, I was thinking that (S. St. Anthony) a while ago because Raymond and Alexander streets cross near there (Raymond Burr and Alexander Hamilton "duel" from clue #1). That's a big stretch though, I think.
I think that's the thing. They want to make it harder by using something people aren't as familiar with, and maybe can't get information on as easily. If you have "The Treasure Hunter's Guide" it does list all the rec centers though and gives you maps for the vast majority of them.
this kind of a stretch, but theres also Aldrich Arena on whitebear avenue, and thats right in the "hillcrest" shopping area, by "hillcrest" golf course in maplewood, and those hillcrests could be "linking" to that "Hillcrest" rec-center in the Highland area, since that too is near a golf course.
I remember when it was hidden NEAR Highland park years back but it wasnt hidden in the park, just near a curb by the boulevard in a gas cap I think. I think we might be dealing with a NON PARK hiding place this year.
I like Palace too, me and some friends were out there last night, alot of stuff fits and it has that "feeling", like last year, at Newell, we were standing RIGHT ON TOP OF THE DAMN THING! and we decided to come back in the day time the next day and look for it in the same spot, and then it was found a couple hours later. We had the feeling like we knew it was around. Palace kinda has that "feeling" too.
If you look back at past clues, there were times that they didn't mention a park but it was in a park and found there. Since they haven't given us much to go on yet I think it's a small park or rec center.
I was thinkin the Depression, for Sweede Hollow. What do you guys think.
DUCK LOGO could still mean Mighty Ducks - something to do w/ Hockey. Where is there a Hockey arena?

that is good thinking Mulder and I'm a big fan of your show.Hoover and Coolidge or Roosevelt.
theres the Phalen-Gustafson Ice Arena behind Johnson Highschool.

SueB.... did you have a sister a year younger than me..name starts with a K?
There is also a bank there too it use to be called phalen bank
No, wrong family, Digs
There is an arena over by Palace and Linwood

I'm afraid that was Aaron Burr Mulder, not Raymond Burr who I believe was an actor.

There are horeshoes at the Horshoe Courts Como Ave (Good Luck)
SueB....yes, there is many Kelly's around
I just had to laugh when I read your post about that hill. Hadn't heard that in ages!
Note that the clues have yet to mention a PARK in St Paul and have usually mentioned that by now.
AW- Whoops, you're right. I told you it was a stretch. :)
there is also whoreshopit by aldrich too there is a park close by there
Quote me if I am wrong. :)
there is also whoreshopit by aldrich too there is a park close by there
Theres also Horseshoe courts at that place that people were talkin about earlier, Palace.
WHat is the connection to horse shoe pit that everyone is referring to????
I agree with you seejay
The GOOD LUCK in the first clue. Luck=horse shoes
Im starting to like Palace more and more all the time.
The referece to GOOD LUCK in bold in the paper I associate w/ a horshoe.
What is the East/West connection to Palace?
Palaca also has many horseshoe pits
I remember when it was hidden NEAR Highland park years back but it wasnt hidden in the park, just near a curb by the boulevard in a gas cap I think. I think we might be dealing with a NON PARK hiding place this year.
Maybe East/West is only saying what part of the park to look.
has anyone ever been too East view re center in St pul?
good luck simply means goodluck

Ohhhhh, horse shoe pit. I don't want to tell you what I thought you were typing!
Yes, ive been to East View. A while ago though. I dont remember much about the place.
Is Palace Ave right near Palace Park? Could it be near the street?
where can i find a saint paul park guide book? Anyone?
actually the yellow pages in front tells you lots
I agree with Jorge that they simply meant Good Luck with that, either as a well wish, or maybe a taunt, but I don't think its really a clue.

Yes Palace Ave. runs right next to Palace
Yep. it goes right past it.
yes. palace ave. is on the east border of palace rec center
in 99 I dug out the entire horseshoe pit.
Theres also View Street, and I believe Jefferson is another one, though I dont know what Jefferson would have to do with anything.
I see Palace Rec Ctr (doesn't mention park) has a horshoe pit, and is on 350 View St. and Jefferson "out of view"
GOOD LUCK everybody!
time to go check out some parks!
