I have an idea...

somebody should build one of those hot-tub time machines.... that way ares can go back in time and invent the Iphone!

and.... in turn, that would help me pick up chicks in junior high!

its a win-win situation, for everyone!

I wanna go back in time too.

I think age 9 would be about perfect.

I'd like to know then what I know now.

no kidding.

although i always figure if i could relive my youth, with the benefit of hindsight, the decisions i would have made would have kept me from enjoying the life i have now, like tc

iPhone wouldn't do diddly-squat in 1987 - no network, no USB hookups, and God help you if you forget to bring the battery charger back with you...

Interesting post, because I just got off the phone with a daughter and when she asked what I was doing I told her "I'm sitting her smelling my Easter lily and it's taking me back to when I was 10 or so". You just need a lily.

I don't know what it is, but when I smell Easter lilies I think of Easter bonnets, white Mary Jane's and walking to Mass with my parents.

This grannie has three quilt tops that I've never backed, so I guess you could say they're laying around the house, though they're folded in a box. However, I made these quilt tops in my 20's and 30's.

Heh, reminds me of that episode in Futurama where they go back in time and their spaceship crashes because GPS satellites weren't there.

I bet that's what happens if someone ever does invent a time machine, they end up crashing, burning, exploding, etc because of incompatibility issues.

On that same note, life is interesting. The girl of my dreams growing up just had twins. Me at 16 would be cursing the heavens that they aren't mine. Me now are thanking the heavens that they aren't.

Some of God's greatest gifts = unanswered prayers.

Wife: "What throwback Jersey should I get?"

me: "How about Blyleven?"

wife: "Who?"

me: "Bert Blyleven. 20 year pitcher."

wife: "doesn't ring a bell.

me: "Greatest curveball pitcher of all time."

Wife: crickets.

me: Started game 2 of the 1987 World Series.

wife: "Well maybe I don't need a jersey."

5 minutes pass.

"Is he the circle me Bert guy?"
