I think it's a shovaling year, the one good thing about living in an apartment no shovaling no grass cutting.

Well, this year we can have snow blower guy instead of leaf blower guy.

me thinks if they hid it in the middle of a snowy field it won't be found until spring if they hid it in the middle of this storm.

It's not to keep people out, Businesses are in business to make $, it's to make the venue strive and we get dinner and drink specials. we get something! It's not technically a "cover' to me, but paying for something at a discounted price for something I would have paid more for. I need a deal, I'm broke and am HAPPY to pay $3 to get a WC button, dinner and then drink specials on top of it.

(I have not read the last 30 posts to see if these deals have changed but anything close for a low price is wwwwwwway good for this unemployed girl).

What time is Yarussos planning on closing? I know Jimmy from Obbs talked about a permit that the bars can apply for once or twice a year to stay open later. What time is their normal close?

Is anyone going to ask them to get a permit to stay open later? If not, when is the normal closing time?

We would definitely make it worth their while if they kept the bar open late.

I agree with what you said though, that they shouldn't need a permit just to stay open until bar close. It would be good to find out how late they were planning on staying open though. Didn't they stay open late for us last year during the hunt?

New city ordinance says that bars have to close by 9, so I think they'll start moving people out by 8:30. That isn't a problem, is it?

I asked Annette about the late permit thing, she said they had it under control and that they're planning on a late night, which I think either means that they're applying for the permit or they're rolling the dice and have some sort of lasagna deal with the cops. Either way, they're staying open late.

Annette also has designs on starting earlier in the evening, say, 5:30 or so, for families with Kids and the like and maybe doing a "fun-find" or something for kids in the top part of Swede hollow with little medallionesque free dinner tokens that she'd throw out there.

For the record, this is not my idea, so don't bother jumping on my case.

Redbear I would like to take this opportunity to appologize if it seemed as if I was Jumping your $#!T I think many of us had question's and it just took awhile to get the answers which you answered most of. I think it was just a matter of we went from no plans to having plans but none of us knew the particulars. There's a lot I'd like to say on this subject, but I have a great deal of respect for another person tangentially involved so I'll refrain, other than to say thank you, no apology necessary, LA Mommy, albeit with one correction: I made suggestions, no plans - anyone was free to offer another constructive alternative at any time. Anyone was free to pull back with a more viable plan had one come to light.
