I miss out on a TON of stuff on FB because I don't scroll back far enough I use FB mostly for keeping in touch with people and playing the stupid games I have a love hate relationship with them. I've gotten set up in groups on there but honestly never really done much like what we do here. I would be very sad to see this place go! $10 is nothing for a years worth of entertainment.
My red renewal notice hasn't gone away yet - do I need to e-mail SYSOP and tell them payment went thru a couple days ago? It's set to expire in 6 days.

Just so you know you are going to be accused of being the same person as me just as Luverne2011 already has. I'm sure it's certain members of the cooler crew(namely JAKE) who is the one who actually has multiple screennames. I know damn well he has read my posts about him because his "real" screenname was logged on 2 days ago and right after that a bunch of new Jake defenders joined and started shenanigans.
Now for the good news: Luverne2011 has sent messages to the St Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation with evidence. She is trying to put an end to the cooler crew's shady association with the PP.
She also made a post about how she was treated poorly at a cooler crew party like you were. I have never been to a cooler crew event but I know enough about them that I never want to attend one!
By the way, my Mason Lodge is going to be doing a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 5th which is the day of the Vulcan Victory Dance. The dinner will be more of a lunch really going from 12-3 and I'll be the one cooking so you know it will be good! I believe it will be $7 for adults and $5 for kids though I'm not positive on that. But it will be all you can eat with salad and garlic bread. We'll be doing it at our new location on Plato, just across the Robert St. bridge from downtown St. Paul and about a block to the left. Start your day out with lunch there and then stick around for the W.C. festivities.
What a sad, sad man. As for Luverne, not being fawned over isn't the same as being treated badly. As for the "investigation" let them. "In regards to the accusation that the Pioneer Press as sponsor of the treasure hunt has established a friendly relationship with the enthusiastic hunters known as the Cooler Crew, we find the charges to be...obvious."
Man oh man, what is wrong with people over there. I guess some people just love things to argue about and want to buy into the whole PP Press cover up thing. probably because then they feel vindicated when they dont find it...
I'm no W fan, but I'm sure he misspoke and didn't really mean to say he saw the plane actually hit the tower. I'm sure what he was trying to spit out was that he was watching coverage of the first plane having hit the tower. Then again I was watching something recently that talked about how eyewitnesses will initially say they heard a gunshot and then months later they will say they saw the gunshot because their memories play tricks on them. Maybe by then W really did think he saw it happen and just remembered it wrong. Either way it doesn't really prove much of anything.
Saw a documentary of a fire station being filmed on 9/11 they had footage ot the first plane hitting the tower. Then the news has footage of the seciond plane guess it was all photoshoped
I don't want to be the one to play the gay card, but it sure seems funny that the guy named "BrokeBack MounTaiN" is looking for a deep throat at the newspaper.
Looking to borrow a jack for re-installing one kitchen cabinet. Vicky is moving one cabinet up several inches to make sure there will be room for the new fridge. The old cabinet is down. The distance between the fridge top, and the bottom of the new cabinet will be 5 or 6", so we don't need the kind that extends from the floor, although that would work if that is what someone can lend us. We will pick up and return. Thanks!
Take a 2x2 and screw it to the wall at the height (and level) you want the bottom of the new cabinet to end up at. I would suggest drawing a line to align the 2x2.
Then place the cabinet on the 2x2 while someone holds the front of the cabinet and screw it to the studs. Empty cabinets aren't too heavy. I installed all of our cabinets alone.
That way it'll end up right where you want it. Then just fill the screw holes.
Then if you are attaching it to an adjacent cabinet (best if you do), line things up perfectly and clamp them together with a 'c' clamp. Remove the hinges and drill a hole through the adjacent cabinet with the correct size for a screw. Long enough to grab the other cabinet, bit not extend through. Tighten it up so the cabinet faces have no gaps and replace the hinges. Most likely your cabinets were secured this way before.
If it is ever proven beyond a resonable doubt that 9/11 was a US Government job, I'll slit my wrist. Seriously. I say that only because I'm that sure the US Government had nothing to do with it. Every point a conspiracy pundit makes has been disproven scientifically. Throw one my way and I'll explain it (as explained by scientists).
Reminds me a lot of the Kennedy Assassination. People have a very hard time believing that a person or very small group of people can change the course of history. Look at the photos of the grassy knoll taken during the assassination, there isn't a gunman anywhere. Oswald did it, did it alone, and in about 10 seconds completely changed the course of US history.
Thats the sheepole for you bhaaa it can't be it must have been the CIA, Oliver Stone didn't help eather twisting the facts the sad thing is people baught that load of horse $#!^ :pbpt:
Hey KC, I WILL be re-newing with ableminds. I like the privacy with my friends even if we arn't posting on here as much. There is a big trust factor involved. I only have a fb because most friends have it but I find it intrusive. Personally I pay for the privacy and it's easy to manage and post and move around.
Brass, I just read this about little Carter. I still have 350 posts to slog through so forgive me if you gave updates, how is he? I will throw out a current prayer just for the 3 of you. I'm glad to hear he got through the surgery well and I hope he is feeling better tonight.
My biggest issue these days is managing my time properly.
Unfortunately, I've been torn in too many directions, and need to sort out my priorities. Unfortunately, I've really had little actual involvement with this group, beyond some geocaching and the occasional hunt and some technical advice.
I'm not much of an in-person person, nor much of a group person. I enjoy helping others out, and staying out of charged arguments. I normally keep to myself and let the rest of the world wind it's way around me.
Forums are a good place to exchange ideas, no doubt. But granted time is a VERY finite resource, I need to choose to use it properly, as well as the rest of my resources.
While I don't see a reason to part ways with this fine group, it's a hard call to keep up with another location to check in at, especially when my involvement is minimal at best. Yes, 10 dollars a year is cheap, but some of my wisest mentors in life often talk in principles, not dollars and cents.
Or maybe next time I offer some technical support, I should just ask for forum payments as compensation, lol. I honestly don't know.
We'll see what happens I guess. If I decide to let it go, I know most anyone here would know how to reach me if they needed/wanted to.
KC I am not a in-person person either. I had a very hard time at first getting in with the group not because the group didn't want me but because I just am not a very good people person I have a hard time in new situations with large groups of people. I get extremely anxious in new situations. That being said after years of slowly getting to know 1 or 2 people at a time I am so glad I stuck with the group and now go out hunting. I even got so brave as to confront someone fairly recently about his lack of proper acknowledgement of me as a person so far so good. I'll let you know after the hunt if my confrontation has done any good. HAHA I think the only reason I had the nerve is after a few drinks I'll say anything to anyone I guess  But I digress my point in this matter is
I don't know if you don't join in because you just don't want to or don't have the time or inclination to or you have a hard time like I did but I just wanted to throw this out there. You'll never meet a more friendly and welcoming group anywhere and I for one would be lost with out the CC. If these boards ever went away it would be a sad day indeed.
well since you insist, i'm going to agree with you 100% just out of spite you cheater you.

Not saying this proves anything, nor am I saying it doesn't mean anything. I'm just saying.
Nice job over on the screwball board. You have a good way of making logical points be known.
Then place the cabinet on the 2x2 while someone holds the front of the cabinet and screw it to the studs. Empty cabinets aren't too heavy. I installed all of our cabinets alone.
