bid you fair welcome, to me evokes the gates ajar or "wide as triple e". but god knows there are plenty of other options for that one. like the "main" entrance to phalen off of wheelock.
Interestingly this is the second year in a row they invoke the vulc. huzzah! also, "this could be heaven or this could be hell" does come from our theme song. call in the fbi again. they're explicitly making it a cooler crew hunt.
Clue 2:
could be referring to business as well. my first thought would be james j. hill. the great northern, at least under that name, never went into bankruptcy even during the financial panics, as other rail lines of the time did. (its predecessors did, with hill buying the initial railroad out of bankruptcy court, and then buying it again effectively from himself in another bankruptcy hearing). this one rings true to me, as hill was one of the boosters of the original carnivals and its been a big thing to have the 125th anniversary of the carnival.
One thing I note from the first verse of this last clue is how it is inclusive. They use the term us instead of them. So it makes me think initially of the PP bigwig who is leaving. Otherwise it would have to be referencing someone who led all of us, like a politician. I know he is going to Cleveland but it seems to be too early to name a street. I think that it's just referencing what it will be in. The more meatier part is about taking more steps. To me it's a good early clue because of the double meaning. It could mean go outside of St Paul, or it's in a bigger park and you have to walk far to get it. Or both...
the center is on 65 before you get to signs and graphics kinda a strip bus. center. A neighbor use to distribute papers and I went with him for the Black Friday ads 2 days early
We bid you fair welcome, whether heaven or hell come
the PP is biding every1 a fair hunt and welcome ...no matter how many people think otherwise...or how much pissing and moaning they do...The hunt is on and go find it
Kinda like come hell or high water ...it is what it is
The PP boards are just loaded with dizzying noodles about Goodhue's dialogue in the Pre-Hunt videos. May I just point out the redundant fact that the CLUES are ALL that MATTERS to anyone new in here.
The videos are just distractions and have no relevance whatsoever - unless that is, of course, they brain fart again and release the video before the written Clue again.
This is the 125th anniversery of the Crosby death of the person that founded the farm. It could be a non-clue no brainer seeing this is the 125th Winter Carnival.
Agree MD, thanks for reiterating that fact. We spoke with Ben Garvin (dude who makes the vids) a lot last year, and he himself would laugh at how much people were reading into them. They are fun to look at, creepy as hell, and have absolutely nothing to do with the helping us find the medallion.
I think the videos for the clues are obnoxious really. The taunts prior to the hunt and the deed is done ones are okay. The clue ones make me wonder who dreams this stuff up. In other worlds, they might be considered armed and dangerous.
Its in a park
liking lam's religious overtones

Just glad that Posen is on the board that Jake got the rest of the parks since it wasn't chosen on the other board. Artemis got 25 on that board.
Awe shucks - busted again. Damn supersluths :sheepish:
The Pioneers strike a lot of fear
To hockey opponents they don't like
To run a school, you can't be a fool
Unless your in a park to ride more than your bike.
We all know he barely leaves a park for the two weeks surrounding the hunt
there are houses surrounding the park and its deep in the park. Not near the doorsteps ...
