I think if CW was sneezing, instead of chestnut, it would have been Och! Cashew!

Looks pretty dangerous to me.

"This cave (I don't know the names of the rest of them!) has two entrances connected by a long, curving tunnel. About halfway down the tunnel, there is a steep staircase similar to the Stairway to Heaven, except that instead of going outside it ends at a crawlway that progressively gets lower and muddier with no end in sight. One entrance to the cave, and a network of side passages near it, are filled with rubble from the old high bridge. This rubble is very dangerous because it's easy to trip or get a foot caught between the re-bars, or even poke an eye out."

Well, I'm not saying go in there or climb it ..... just maybe a clue to a park ..Lilydale or Cherokee. And whichever cave you quoted there says "Similar to Stairway to Heaven"

Forget it. My last post

For Becksie: ...don't you love how Long Lake is dammed before flowing into Rice creek park?!?

Diggin, I'm sorry if that came across as rude. I sure didn't mean it that way. It looked like a good noodle until I read that part about losing an eye.

Songs that made the Hit Parade...

When Your Hit Parade began on NBC April 20, 1935, it was a 60-minute program with 15 songs played in a random format. Initially, the songs were more important than the singers, so a stable of vocalists went uncredited and were paid only $100 per program. In 1936-37, it was carried on both NBC and CBS. Script continuity in the late 1930s and early 1940s was written by Alan Jay Lerner before he found fame as a lyricist. The first number one song on the first program was "Soon" by Bing Crosby. (Bruce C. Byrd, Your Hit Parade & American Top Ten Hits, 4th edition, 1994, p 15.)

Can't be Crosby..too easy to find!

Maybe they don't want an unseasonably large group of visitors creating their own parking spots when the lots are full..?

Even the gate to the northern half is closed? Weird, I thought they usually keep that open year round and only close the southern one. Hey... I bet the cluewriter asked the parks to close the gate to throw off hunters. Just like they do with the Fairgrounds security every year.

Ha!... maybe we should send of an email to SP Parks dept..."uh you know it's time of year again... could you open a few gates please? And while you're at it drop off a biffy or two... mwah.. thanks"

I've looked at that wise owl video a couple of times trying to figure out what the red eye is made of or with. Anyone have a guess? It almost looks like some sort of pill that has a score in it to break in half.

Stuck at work and its borning tonight waiting for closing to come tongiht. Just had an idea pop into my head, could heaven or hell be in refrence to a nearby cementary or a cementary refrence- its your final place laid to rest and generaly speaking for most people its one or the other that you goto.

Crosby had a few people there, not many.

Hello All! Well, I have almost caught up on all the posts and have renewed my membership and now have posting privelages again! I do not have any new noodles but am wondering if anyone knows if you can see more than 3 posts at one time by changing a setting?

Prolly a pretty good guess there Eags. Most Iron are red.

I have some anti-histamines at home, that are a generic, that look a little like that too. I'll have to dig them out and see.

it also looks a lot like the little dye tabs for easter eggs.

Under Your Preferences and then Miscellaneous Settings, increase the number of characters to show per page to as many 9s as you can fit in the box.

There may be another way, but that's the way I was taught a long time ago.

The most common vulture in the Twin Cities is probably the turkey vulture. Usually you can tell what they are from below because they tend to circle if there is something to eat or ride the wind when they are looking for something to eat. Also, when you see the tips of their wings when they are flying, they look like fingers.

Yes there is a setting for that. Look on the bottom of the page and click wher it says "Preferences". Scroll down in the options on the page and where it says "max characters per page" put in 99999. Then scroll to the "max messages per page" and put in 90. Thats my settings. They work good. Make sure to click "ok" or "Save" (I forgot which is there) at the bottom of the page and you should be set.

Welcome back!
